Houses... Cocked & Loaded

Hey all.

Wanna clear up the diff versions before I buy these albums.
House:
Is there 2 or 3 diff versions? I have seen ones listed with the normal tracklist, then Psalm 23 and Walrus as tracks 11-12. This version has the full intro on No W at start correct?
I have seen others with a bunch of untitled tracks listed, and others with Bloodlines as track 69with no walrus.
Is there ANY other differences with the bloodlines version, other than the cut intro to No W? I assume walrus was cut as well?

Cocked and Loaded
I have seen with Fire ENgine as the first track… don’t think I have seen another version, in the discography it’s listed with RevColution medly? Is there a version with this track? As i said, I just havnt seen it yet…

Which variations, in peoples opinions are the better to seek out?

-John

The Revco album with Fire Engine to start is the promo, and does not include the Revcolution Medley (which I think was originally called Purple Head, right?). The version of Houses I have is the original, and does not include Bloodlines. It has Psalm 23 (which is No W minus the intro, and with the guitar solo featured on the anti-Bush comp. or on No W ‘Redux’) and Walrus. As far as I know, the version of Bloodlines on the reissue of Houses is the same as the original iTunes single release, rather than the one on Rantology, which is slightly shorter.
And I’m sorry, but the edited version of No W (heard it on a friends CD) just sounds WRONG going straight into the guitars like that. I understasnd the need for the Rantology ‘Redux’ after that, even if I didn’t like it.

Ah ok, so original houses would be better than, what I suspected!
With bloodlines… so the rantology version is shorter than the itunes one? Does it sound any better on houses than on MP3, or was it just tacked onto the album from MP3… any1 know?

I the revco medley any good? I like promos… should buy the original ver. lol.

buy original version of houses (that starts with carmina burana and “evil, evil” samples)

buy proper retail version of cocked and loaded.

and no, bloodlines is not “tacked from mp3” - are you crazy to suggest that? yes it sounds better than on mp3 even being a shitty song.

Not crazy, just at work and very tired. I suppose it would be pretty silly… so the bloodlines on houses is the itunes one, correct?
I didnt even notice the one on rantology was shorter, I didnt pay a whole lot of attention obviousley

That’s not correct, and I told it already in another thread weeks ago.
ALL versions of ‘Cocked & Loaded’ that I could see in stores over here in France (the one I bought included) are digipack versions starting with ‘Fire Engine’ and without the ‘Revcolution Medley’.
More, all versions listed on the amazon.com, amazon.fr, amazon.de sites are versions starting with ‘Fire Engine’ and without the medley. Even the 13th Planet shop lists the tracklist of that version…
So it’s not the promo version at all.

I thought the general assumption was that the Revcolution version was probably deleted due to copyright issues…

Yeah, the reason that I assumed it was the promo is because it’s the version I saw in stores during the first week, but has since dissappeared from shelves. The only version I can find for purchase anymore is the one with the medley, not the one with Fire Engine to start. They were both digipaks, however.
Is it maybe that the “international” version is the altered tracklist? I’m not sure.
Oh, I did see the Fire Engine 12" by Iggy Pop on ebay, if anyone’s interested!

Ok… so the revcolution medley one is the deleted one? ahhh… how confusing, lol… maybe I buy the one with fire engine, then just download revcolution… lol.

WHats the deal with copyright? WHats in there that would infringe?

with the original, iggy pop one, what did al do on that track anyone know?
