Hmm, here’s a few of my favorites:
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Ooh, I forgot to mention this one. Saw it a few months ago and it absolutely disturbed me. Had a couple of dreams due to this one.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Who Can Kill a Child?
Dawn of the Dead (either one, but preferably the original)
Dead of Night

Session 9
The Thing
The Thing From Another World
The Stepford Wives
Oh… I could go on for days…
henry, portrait of a serial killer was disturbing.
any good gacey movies anyone know of ? there were a few that came out, but i never watched any of them. i did own a gacey painting for a while. gave it up. one of his clown paintings. used to see that guy trolling the gay district in chicago.
what a pig. then i read a book about his investigation once the cops got wind of him. it was the first time i’d read the word “loam”. in his case, decomposing bodies under the house.
i like
Pitch Black
Hostel, this movie actually sux but i like the gore
Aliens
wicked lake!

special ed is such a jourgalo
i’m a huge al fan! his antics lately keep me and everyone else who still gives a shit, something to ponder.
fascinating stuff. someone with a good script could write the al story and that would be the ultimate horror movie. (maybe)
i’m waiting for the fix documentary myself. that should be a true horror hit.
I ordered Tetsuo: The Iron Man this week. I had to after watching this trailer 3 times in a row.

He has a fetish for sticking metal inside of him and he transforms into a machine or something.
Yeah thats a good one.
Here’s a good one:

one not mentioned yet that i recommend is the orphanage (el orfanato) which came out in theaters earlier this year and is out on dvd now. i went to the theater to see it as a matinee and was literally the only one in there which made it all the more fun to watch.
Blair Witch Project was kinda creepy… Most of the movie was annoying but it had it’s moments. That bit at the end where the person runs into the house and sees that other dude is standing in the corner still gives me chills.
Are you nuts?!
I still want my freaking money back!
That scene in particular was sooooo stupid…How is some dude standing in the corner scary? just cause the “Witch” made kids stand in the corner?
Bleck!
Sorry for the rant I just have a sour spot for that dumb ass movie!
I don’t care for it but Salo was probably the most disturbing movie I’ve seen.
Here, Here, Brother I will second that, but the topic was horror not distrbing which is why I didn’t list it!
Won’t watch Hostel Movies cause I’m not into brutal torture I think it’s disgusting and some one else’s misery (in that Way specifically) is not my entertainment. I guess I just don’t like what it represents… Hellraiser, Never possible…Some sick fuck kidnappinig people so other sick fucks can pay to torture them…Completely possible and I don’t want to think about it. Just not entertaining.

You have to add The Exorcist III to that and I like Damien: Omen II the most of the Omen series.
As far as the torture porn movies go, I’m with you guys. Hate them, not entertaining to me. Though I got hostel off a recommendation and it wasn’t as bad as the others. I liked it a lot more than Saw, at least, and the last half hour turned into a revenge flick which was cool.
As for Salo, I have it as part of the 10 sickest movies torrent I downloaded, but I doubt I’ll ever watch it

or any of them, really. Except for Ichi as I hear it’s more light-hearted and I’m getting into Takashi Miike. And we watched most of Cannibal Holocaust at a friend’s house, certainly not something I’m into. I won’t delete them just to say I have them readily, but I’m not diving into watching them.
miike makes some great movies, and some horrid ones but he directs an ungodly amount of flicks per year so of course they can’t all be good.
most everything shinya tsukamoto (tetsuo) does is good. he’s matured a lot since tetsuo, but check out “haze” if you can find it online. its more in the “horror” genre. he also acts in miike’s iichi.
henry, portrait of a serial killer was disturbing.
It was ok. Just wish they hadn’t given the title character to that goofy faced actor from Mississippi Burning. I don’t like him.
any good gacey movies anyone know of ? there were a few that came out, but i never watched any of them.
There is one called ‘To Catch A Killer’ starring Brian Dennehey. It was a two part tv movie. Very good. You can buy it on ebay.
i did own a gacey painting for a while. gave it up. one of his clown paintings. used to see that guy trolling the gay district in chicago.
You are now officially my second best friend.
Oh and Salo is a masterpiece by the way. I am going to buy the Criterion Collection version soon - but it’s gonna set me back $65. Damn those import prices.
Also, someone metioned The Kingdom, the Lars Von Trier series about the haunted hospital. I saw that a the cinema when it first came out. Blew my mind!!
I gotta go with Halloween or the Fog.
Early Carpenter works have no equal, in my book.

I’m Assuming this will be the new rerelease? a first press criterion DVD can set you back hundreds of dollars…
next, I know why I like this movie… Why do you? It certainly is disturbing and certainly not a “hey let’s watch Salo” on a whim type movie.
This movie will certainly haunt you…
As for the other poster, be not afraid of itchi the killer
Itchi the killer… Stupid boring lot’s of gore that doesn’t even look like gore it just got repetitive.

I’ve been trying for YEARS to find the sountrack for the shining… it’s way out of print
Try a megaupload search for the soundtrack for ‘The Shining’. Thats how I got a copy because, as you said, they dont have an edition available to buy.
hey pelligro, i need as many best friends as i can get.(uh, with any luck, not of the serial killer kind)
later.
I gotta go with Halloween or the Fog.

Amen, brother. The Thing, The Fog, Halloween, Escape From NY, Big Trouble in Little China, Halloween 3, Assault From Precinct 13. I used to dig everything he put his hands on. Not so much in recent years.
Not sure what happened to Carpenter after the early 80’s tho. Real hit or miss - leaning towards miss.
Star Man - meh…branched out - kinda emo tho
Mouth of Madness - easy to forget
Children of the Damned - didn’t see it
They Live - so-so
Prince of Darkness - don’t remember anything about it - think Alice Cooper is in it
Ghosts of Mars - Thought it was shithouse. Walked out on it
Vampires - Dreck. Wish I had walked out on it
Might be forgetting some.
