Guitar pick...

would any one have a al Jourgensen g-pick ?

i know all to well he don’t throw 'em out are way…

on the hunt for one…

They’re not signed its just a bronzish metal pick. He handed me one from the stage back on the masturbatour. I’ve got it framed with Anna K’s pick. Ravens pick, sin’s pick and tommy victor’s pick. Al and ravens were the only ones that weren’t signature picks. Like I said al had a metal bronzish one and raven had aheavy duty dunlop one.

thanks

I’ve got one from Sin and one from Tony Campos from the “final” tour, didn’t manage to get an Al or Mikey one on any of the occasions i’ve seen them. It always amazes me how animated a crowd gets once they throw some plectrums from the stage. I’ve ended up with a few, i have one of Slash’s, a James Hetfield and some others.

Yeah. I’ve caught or been handed a bunch of picks from various rockers over the years. I’m always appreciative of it, and it’s cool to look at and play with for a day or two, but I lose them almost as quickly as I caught them. I think I had a Jourgensen pick at one time. As I recall it had his signature and the Ministry anarchy-M logo thingy on it. If I ever stumble across this stuff in my couch cushions or junk drawers I’ll send it off to whomever wants it . . . but most of it is probably spinning around some vortex in the space-time continuum.

come across the Al pick can i have first dibs on it…[:)]

I have one of Slash’s,

Lucky bastard!!!
I’ve seen slash 4 times and I’ve never gotten a pick the pick always gets snatched out of the air or he doesn’t thrown them to my part of the crowd. :frowning:
Met him though and was so star struck I forgot to ask for a pick.

Wow, amazing, i’d love to meet him, G n’R have always been my favourite band, they were the first band i really got into and Slash is my all-time guitar hero. He’s the reason i started playing guitar. I’ve only seen him once, with Velvet Revolver, and i couldn’t believe for the first hour or so that i was finally seeing Slash and Duff in the flesh.

I’ve seen him twice with Velvet and twice on his solo effort… He’s blown up so huge I may not be able to afford tickets anymore. You’re fandom sounds a lot like mine…

I met Slash at a Velvet Revolver concert. I had him sign my leg and then I had it tatted. That guy is the end all be all of guitars players for me since 6th grade! he was very humble and really put up quite nicely with my stupid ramblings about how much I adore his guitar playing and how he inspired me to learn to play. he was very cool with my insane fan boy ramblings especially since i am waaay to old for that shit. He even tried to decline when I asked him to sign my leg for tattooing, saying"no way man! I couldn’t wish that on anyone!" I countered with “oh no you could, I already shaved part of my leg so I won’t get in growns from the tat” he said “ok” I got him to draw his jolly roger with the top hat and the cig. along with his signature. he did it all in about 2 minutes!

The man is fuckin larger than life. I shook his hand and his hand engulfed mine, I got pretty big hands, I can palm a basketball!!
Glad I met the man.

Sounds amazing, he really does seem like such a sweet guy, very humble and softspoken. I don’t know if there’s ever been such a quiet, humble guitar legend (or “Guitar God” if you like), and although i think he hasn’t really approached the same levels of genius since his Gn’R days, i always love to hear his incredible solos. I saw Duff’s Loaded in a small club, he was great, came into the crowd and played for a bit, he towered over every person in the place. I never saw original Gn’R but saw the new line-up twice, absolutely fantastic. I have no illusions that the originals will ever play again, so any version is ok for me, it’s still at least part of what got me into music.
