Guitar Hero Luxa/Pan edition

Would it be worth it and what songs would be on it?

defiantly Thieves. Probably Stigmata.

Hero would be there. TV II perhaps. Supermanic Soul, Animosity…

There could be a few. Would perhaps be worth it. Could make it into a track pack like AC/DC did for Rock Band.

speaking of AC/DC, a full game is in the works for Guitar Hero with just AC/DC songs.

i would buy a hypo luxa/herman pan collection. for sure.

It probably helps NOT to know how to play guitar.
Essentially it’s just a hand/eye coordination thing. you see a color on the screen and you press the corresponding button on your fake guitar’s fretboard.

I can’t play the game for shit. I have noticed that trend among anyone that DOES play guitar, even casually. the game has a switch for ‘rhythm’ and 3/4/5 buttons on the neck to press in time with a scrolling color bar. It’s basically ‘Simon’ jazzed up a bit.

It’s quite fun to play with your friends over a few (lots of) beers.

Some songs are actually harder to play on GH or RB than they are in real life (Ramones for example) and many musicians get beat by kids at their own songs.

Some of the kids on youtube and stuff are actually pretty damn good. If only they could find a way to make the game work with a real guitar and use the real places on the fretboard. At least this way, people would end up learning how to play a real song by the end of it.

i don’t really see how ministry songs can be used in guitar hero game, at least most of them, because generally speaking, average ministry song has much less riffs in it than say avegage “classic” metallica song, i mean, just imagine how fucking boring it would be to play that one riff for over six minutes in stigmata? or lava?

granted, playing some ministry stuff on real instruments is totally tits, especially when you have the proper sound, like roaring bass on some filth pig songs, they are pretty easy, and kinda fun to play along. but in the game it will seem just too easy and more boring, probably even black sabbath’s paranoid is tons more fun. just my opinion.

Whenever I hear of Guitar Hero I can’t but not think of South Park’s ‘Guitar Queer-O’.

This is what I’ve come up with so far. I’ve removed a few lesser known tracks, but they might work well in the format. I’ve picked one track from most of the Luxa/Pan releases that I have.

Supernaut
Forkboy
I Wanna Be A Drug Sniffing Dog
70’s Rock Must Die
Stigmata
Thieves
Jesus Built My Hotrod
Lay Lady Lay
Bad Blood
Animosity
Get Down
Crackin’ Up

Whenever I hear of Guitar Hero I can’t but not think of South Park’s ‘Guitar Queer-O’.

LOL yea me to. Kids who play guitar hero think they’re the shit, they even dress up like rock stars just to play that game. Tone it down virgins lol, am i right ha ah i dont care.

True, the same goes for all industrial rock bands, the guitars are just there to be loud as fuck. Who needs riffs? the machines make up for the lack of riffs.TWITCH!

No doubt. Musical ability must hamper one’s proficiency at this game. My friends who are really good at guitar can’t play this shit to save their lives. Hell, I can’t play this shit to save mine. I groove to music, not to buttons, and whenever I play, I forget that the music never exactly synchs up with the timing and/or placement of the buttons.

Pisses me off. What pisses me off more, though, are the people who pretend like they’re rock stars because they can, as you said, play a glorified, anti-establishment-friendly version of Simon. And what pisses me off even MORE is that it’s shit like this that’s making this generation and every one to come ridiculously self indulgent, frighteningly materialistic, and hopelessly retarded.

… But that’s a rant for another day.

[cool]

Anyway, back on topic. I’d really like to see a Luxa/Pan track on Guitar Hero, just to show the skinny jean crowd what they missed out on. “Stigmata” would definitely be fun, as would “Thieves” and “TV II”.

I’d hate to say it, but the last 3 Ministry albums would probably be the best material for GH.

No one would buy it though.
