I don’t know anyone that supports theft of property regardless of who owns it, be it a private party or a bank, other than criminals. What you are talking about is basically squatters.
I will say this regarding squatters on someone else property, over the past year or so in my neighborhood, there is a group of individuals “renting” properties, paying the 1st month or so rent, then not paying again. By the time they can be legally booted out they have lived rent free for approximately 9 months. Once booted, they do it again to some other sucker. Now, they, the squatters are crying that they are being kicked out of “their” home, discriminated against, and put on the street. The crock is, they are getting away with it despite being nothing more than outright thieves gaming the system and pretty much getting away with it.[/reply]

This all seems like local political fighting to be honest… aside from Kilpatrick and Conyers most of these people seem insignificant on a national level…and don’t necessarily represent any political party.
The reason I pick on the tea partiers is because there are no national representatives that set the standard for the party. (except for perhaps Glenn Beck and his rhetoric has gotten even more so ridiculously bad lately that even the vermin are jumping his ship- his ratings have declined sharply lately)
They’ve all just shown themselves as a misguided mob at best (a bunch of dumb, greedy racists at worst) who, funnily enough, complain about public education and yet still think they are smarter than everyone else, even though they themselves we’re educated publicly (as just one of their lunacys)
What do all of them have in common, aside from being convicted felons and have been, or currently are residing in prison? (And now being investigated by the Feds) They are all Democrats.
Many of them didn’t have a party affiliation attached to them that I could find. Which is why I think this looks more like local political scandals.
Are all Democrats crooks? Just because you don’t agree with one’s ideology doesn’t make the entire movement a bunch of crooks.
You ask anyone who associates themselves with any national party, be it Repub or Dem., you are gonna get a pretty straight forward general answer that follows party lines. You ask 100 tea partiers what they believe and you are gonna get 100 different responses. I haven’t met a tea party member yet that has the same idea that another one does. The only thing they are lock step on is "no socialism"and “greed is good” then it branches out from there. Which is pretty stupid cause I don’t think anyone is for socialism… and greed is never good… again they have been misinformed and it’s gotten out of hand from there.
Despite the band of thieves in Detroit being a bunch a Dems, I don’t believe the entire party and supporters are crooks.
Based on your environment (I didn’t know you were out of Detroit, my condolences) I could see why you are upset with the major parties… I’d be looking for an alternate party as well. I can’t blame you at all. Michigan needs some serious help, but believe me if a tea partier gets in there, you’re gonna see Michigan get uglier (if that’s even possible) because they promote everyman for himself (meaning if you have wealth you will gain even more and if you are working class be prepared to be very poor very soon) I guess we need a 4th option now.
I think they are misguided, but that doesn’t mean every Dem will try and sell a U.S. Senate seat ala former Illinois gov Blago given the chance.

ugh… no. The Democratic Party is a nationally established party with an established set of morals and ideologies that they promote. As I pointed out before (which you didn’t read or conveniently forgot, for the sake of argument) the tea party movement is not organized nor do they have an established platform that “members” agree on.

Republicans have run the country since 1963 (I know Johnson was Kennedy’s VP but that guy did not promote anything in line with Democratic Ideals) then Nixon and Ford, Carter was a one termer, then 12 more years of republican rule. Clinton got two terms financially saved the country and then 8 more years of republican stranglehold (All three branches for 4+ years) and in the last 8 years the country has seen the most destruction EVER, financially, morally and literally. W spent more money in the history of the US with all presidents combined! that includes the reckless spending of Reagen and his daddy (who at the time had the title of spending more money than all other presidents combined). So much republican control perhaps they are upset that Detroit is democratic and have it out for them because they keep electing dems… I don’t know but what I do know is now I could be a tea partier with that harebrained conspiracy theory I just pulled out of my ass.

Generally Democrats seem to be for more for the common man (not much more) than republicans (Obviously not in Detroit). but you can’t see that based on your living conditions (no swipe at you) and I do tend to agree with you when one party, or person for that matter, has too much power for too long, they become corrupted.
