Short versions suck. I’d rather it be 4 discs+ if it meant the entire thing was gloriously bloated 12" mixes.

Unlike most Greatest Hits albums, I actually have to praise this. KMFDM seems to have chosen their best songs. And the singles tend to be what get the radio and club play. The edits are a bit excessive though.

Guess they’re not planning on getting on the shelves at Wal-Mart.

Most KMFDM songs go on way too long, so I’m totally cool with lots of edits. For example, does “Juke Joint Jezebel” really have to be almost 6 minutes long? And even at that length it ends in a fade out (as do a large number of KMFDM tracks), so even the original sounds like an edit even though it’s not.

Too bad there’s no “Day of Light.” That’s really the best thing Kapt’n & Kompany have done in years.

Great compilation, though. It’d be worth having for the cover art alone.
