I want to hear from anyone here who has heard / read about stories - ones that may or may not be confirmed - regarding the excesses of rock’n’roll behaviour.

What are the greatest rock’n’roll myths & stories of all time??

You know the ones. The ones where coked up / boozed up rock stars do the kind of outlandish things that only a rock star could do and still be cool. The kind of things that if Joe Normal ever did, he’d be considered a “fucking idiot” and nobody would go near him…!

Examples:

Ozzy Osbourne and Nikki Sixx snort a line of ants - after becoming bored with their cocaine.

Nikki Six o’ds in a hospital surgery and is pronounced dead for two minutes - only to be revived and go out partying again.

Motley Crue stick a phone up some girl’s snatch and order room service through it.

Keith Moon is kicked out of a hotel for nailing the furniture to the ceiling.

Glenn Danzig makes all backstage crew sign a form stating that they will not look him in the eye.

Mike Patton would shit in the hair dryer of any hotel that he took a dislike to.

Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction would openly jerk off in front of band mates, family members, management etc in the dressing room after each gig.

Jimmy Page dated a 13 year old girl.

Psychic TV used to have on stage group sex.

Michael Jackson…y’know…

Gary Glitter…y’know…

Ace Frehley of Kiss was a closet Nazi and once banged on Gene Simmons’ hotel door making holocaust jibes (Gene is jewish).

Captain Beefheart kept his bandmates hostage and refused to give them food.

Ya see?..Stuff like that. The more excessive the better - and bonus points for anyone with stories that are relatively unheard of.

Some obscure ones would be nice.

I know that this isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, but Gary Glitter used to live a few miles away from my wife’s house in Somerset. Apparently he would go out for his morning run in full glam make-up, okay with the fact that it would stream down his face when he worked up a sweat.

Dunno if it was cuz they were bored with the coke, but I know they were having a gross out contest. At the end of the night, Ozzy (with Tommy Lee) tried to take a shit in the hotel elevator. Nikki Six o’ds in a hospital surgery and is pronounced dead for two minutes - only to be revived and go out partying again.

He OD’d on heroin while partying with Steven Adler of GNR. Sixx told the dealer “go on and fix me,” and he turns blue. Then there’s the whole out of body experience, he goes home and cooks up the largest shot of heroin he’s ever had. Wakes up the next day and the needle was still in his arm.

Dunno about that, but there were those bat’s blood rituals when he lived in Alistair Crowley’s mansion. I think he was also involved in sticking a fish, or an octopus, up a girl’s snatch.

The 13 year old thing is true, sadly, the dirty fucker, but she was 14. That makes all the difference obviously. The fish involved in the other story was a red snapper, apparently.

One of my old teachers lived in a squat in London with Nick Cave and Jim Thirwell. He said they were both tragic junkies who would often doze off in a pool of their own piss. He said Nick would wake up at night screaming and flaying his arms about, as if he were trying to kill somebody.

He said they would often sleep on The Tube as the squat was so cold at night. They used to hang out with the local homeless bums, because they always had a fire going in a barrel.

About that Jimmy Page thing with the girl - I have heard that he used to put honey on his knob and he would make her suck it off and make her wear her school uniform while they were having it off. He also bought Boleskin House, ALeister Crowley’s old digs on the banks of Loch Ness. Friends of mine went to the village once where Boleskin is located and tried to ask questions but none of the locals would speak about it.

At night they tried to gain access to the property - apparently it is quite difficult to do so - when they got within about 100 metres, one of the girls in the group felt like she was being suffocated and began to scream. Then her nose started bleeding.

Eh, well, she was probably 16 or older by the time she had sex with most of those people.

Anyway, she was with Jimmy Page for nearly two years and claimed to have been faithful to him. He, of course, was not and she was heartbroken after finding out. That fact alone makes me think she was probably a pretty normal 14-15 year old and not particularly precocious - at least not mentally.
