I thought “what’s the point?” Why not remaster and reissue the classic albums? But then I saw this from CEvin Key on Facebook:

our first 9 albums are in a 30 yr battle of “ownership” with the most selfish egotisical label owners ever. So those records and songs sit in a purgatory. Id love to meet the right lawyer, to end it. jah bless… remember to always license w expiry date clear

That really sucks because some of those 12" mixes need to be remastered.

That album sounds amazing! Why the hell does it need remastering??!

The vinyl needs a different master job than the cd if it was never released on vinyl.
