sounds pretty good. Like the way you cant easily make out what Al is saying, it was better that way.
I just heard it and I must say it is WOEFUL!!!
This shit is fucking worse than Prunetang. What the hell happened to Ministry? Ever since Paul left they have become so amateur and I really don’t care how much I am flamed for saying this. Go ahead, flame away! I mean, I am truly into a lot of lo fi music and I dig shit that is rough and ready so to speak, but this is just terrible. It sounds for all the world like generic, bullshit c grade punk thrash crap with shitty lyrics and cringe-worthy drum machine effects. I never thought he’d stoop sp low. Playing tuneless metal riffs over an incessant tin drum beat? Big deal. I have friends in crappy garage bands who make better music than this.
What a sad day.
I don’t think it’s ‘that’ bad.
Besides, it’s a new song for a ‘greatest hits’ type release. He’s not going to put out top quality songs on something like this. I mean isn’t Bloodlines on this too?

I think with Pauls departure Ministry was never going to be the same anyway, so any half decent tune that comes out Im thankful of. Great satan is along the same lines as the stuff from Houses but i think its better than most of the stuff off that album (but lets face it that aint hard). Maybe Al should go back to his goth-electro roots for something different.
P.S. great satan will probably sound better with more listens…probably!

so quick to judge on a 30 sec. clip…whatever
Sounds like Animosity
I think its pretty good. Thats 30 seconds sounded better than most of Houses. And I dont think the production is terrible, this has more an early black metal vibe to it than Mole which was indeed flat at some points…
well…
IT SUCKS BALLS!!!
looks like I’m on eof the few that actually really dug what I heard
Here’s a fun game… listen to No W and then play this. Try to count the differences.
I was gonna say…I like what I heard but it did seem a lot like No W pt.2, but then given the title and Al’s anti-Bush crusade, maybe thats what its SUPPOSED to be!
I mean shit back in 1998 people were PRAYING for Al AND PAUL to make more shit like this. Its only 30 seconds man, chill…if it sucks then so what it’s only one song, but I thought it was pretty good.
this has more an early black metal vibe to it than Mole
Funnily enough, I actually agree. Picked up on that straight away. But an ‘early black metal vibe’ only really works in context of the entire album. It’s going to sound shitty next to more polished studio material like Jesus Built My Hotrod or NWO.
It would work if the whole album had a black metal feel to it.
Here’s hoping he keeps this in mind for Rio Grande Blood…!
If Rio Grande blood sounds like that I’m going to be royally pissed off.
If Rio Grande blood sounds like that I’m going to be royally pissed off.
If RGB sounds like that then nobody who owns Mole’ will need to buy it. [:P]
There’s often a good reason why some songs were originally “unreleased.”
Actually I really like what I heard. It does have a more “black metal” feel to it in some weird way. Sounds more like what I was hoping to get from Bloodlines, but hey, this track will work. And yeah, I actually hate to admit that I agree with Peligro, but I don’t think it’s going to sound so well next to other songs that Al has had time to polish and re-work and re-hash for eons, but who knows? Maybe it will be good after all.
And I for one won’t be pissed if RGB sounds like that. I’ll be in pig heaven considering the stuff that I’ve been listening to here lately. =)
Peace!

One minute yr going out with me - the next minute I’m about as popular as a British muslim!!!
Sheesh, make up yr mind.
I guess after a few more listens the clip isnt as bad. And I don’t know why I was under the impression that RGB would sound like that. They have’nt even started the recording sessions for that album yet. For some reason in the back of my head I have a feeling that ministys going to end their career on kind of bad note like The Jesus Lizard did. Offering up lame excuses for albums that are perfectly good by any other bands standard but don’t come anywhere near the creativity or originality of their earlier albums. But who knows RGB could very well be the complete opposite of Mole, u never really know with ministry. I’m eager to hear what the new Revco album sounds like b/c I’m hoping we dont get a bunch of watered down metal crap like prunetang indictated.
everything is good BUT in moderation.
take psalm69, only ONE song about bush.
since hotm release there are more songs about bush. i mean… al even promised for RGB “EVEN MORE BUSH BASHING!!!”
yeah having read that line is was like “OMG ANOTHER SONG ABOUT BUSH YAY YAY!!!”.
seriously, he needs some new (good:) blood in the band, and change topics.
i’d rather hear him singing Halloween than this same metal political bush-bashing crap.
i shudder in thoughts of what the new revco would be.
If RGB sounds like that then nobody who owns Mole’ will need to buy it. [:P]
Like nobody who owned Psalm69 would have had to buy Molé…
