"Grab 'em by the pussy."

So, this comment brings this jack ass down?! Are we fuckin serious?!?!?
Wtf? So, he can presently and publicly disparage, demonize and stereotype Mexicans, Muslims and immigrants in general but a private conversation that was had well over 10 years ago about an actress no one has ever heard of is over the line? Lets not pretend his misogyny is new. Its not. Are people just mad cause he finally got caught saying true shit out loud? Trump is not wrong. Famous/beautiful people can do ehatever the fuck they want. Theres a Beastie Boys Documentary (dont temember the name but it was on youtube) where adam yauch is back stage and totally shoves his hand down some girl’s pants and literally grabs her by the pussy. And then comes with this cute little rhyme about how the disrespect to women has got to be through on “sure shot.”
Dont get me wrong I dont condone what trump said, I dont even like the guy but let’s not pretend that this shit he said is the deal breaker. Its not news worthy that hes a sexist pig. That headline has already been run. So why are we outraged now? Hate to play the race card (but its easy with conservatives) but are all the righties turning on him cause he did it to an attractive white woman? Im thinking yes because the shit hes said about mexicans was far more offensive than any accurate statement hes said about famous people and easy sex. But mitch mconnel didnt give a shit then.

As far as it’s “gravity” in comparison to all his other shit, yeah, I was shaking my head too. But I get it. The opposition is going to toss everything on the wall and see what sticks.

This one was kind of interesting to me. When I READ the story the first time it actually came across to me as very vulgar and crass of him. But when I LISTENED to the audio recording . . . . it seemed so much tamer. G-rated bullshit, really.

And, yeah, I used to have that Beastie Boys home video too, hahaha!!! I remember that part very well. She was super hot and Adam screams out after fingering her . . . . “THAT WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE THING I’VE EVER FELT!!!” And all of them were hopping around the hotel room like amped up kids (they basically were, I guess) and proudly showing off their strips of condom packs, hahahaha!!! So dumb . . . . but I loved that video.

As far as it’s “gravity” in comparison to all his other shit, yeah, I was shaking my head too. But I get it. The opposition is going to toss everything on the wall and see what sticks.

I get that too EXCEPT it’s not the opposition. Its his own party throwing shit against the wall. There were like a dozen top republicans pulling support from him. As a matter of fact, i dont think ive heard any “dems” make any statements on this matter. Its all been his own party telling him to step down or saying theyre going to write in Pence.
Kasic’s response was the classiest of the bunch and if hed had pulled out the nomination i wouldve found myself voting republican this election.

10-4 . . . sorry, I missed the point of your post.
I haven’t really been following the fallout. I thought everyone was jumping on it. If, like you say, the Dems are just staying quiet, that’s actually the best thing they can do.

The Republican party sees this orange buffoon as pure Kryptonite. They want to stop him from being the poster boy for their club. It’s just embarrassing . . . even for a group who sometimes prides themselves on embarrassing shit.

Trump is just so next level. It’s not that he’s politically incorrect. He’s just plain fucking incorrect. On everything. He’s not just an asshole, and he’s not just an idiot. He’s the most idiotic asshole we’ve ever been dealt. He’s completely bereft of any integrity. And the fact that it has somehow translated to a selling point for his moronic supporters . . . . it really is just embarrassing.

Totally off your topic, i know, but it’s things like that that always made me fucking hate The Beastie Boys, they’re such a bunch of hypocrites lecturing everyone about fucking Tibet and how to treat women and all that. Ballbags.

I get that people change and all, but Jesus Christ, spare me the preacher routine you two-faced rich twats. It’s like a reformed drinker castigating people for having a good time with a beer or two. They’re so po-faced, self-righteous and uptight it’s amazing, while also pushing the “we’re having a great time” act.

It’s pretty much what any guys would say amongst their friends.

I think we live in different worlds. I’d expect this kind of talk from a crappy 18 year old fratboy, I guess. But even when I was that age, I looked down on those sort of guys and tried to avoid them as much as possible. And certainly much moreso now that I’m older. I’ve seen it from several individuals in the business world - from adults who should know better, and in those cases, it’s lost them my respect and the respect of others. “Locker room talk” or whatever you want to call it is pretty much a mark of immaturity. And some, like the Beastie Boys, grow out of it and spend the rest of their lives trying to get others to grow up as well. Others, I guess, never do. Trump was 60 years old at the time this was recorded, so “sins of youth” doesn’t exactly apply.

So, this comment brings this jack ass down?! Are we fuckin serious?!?!?

I agree. It’s really strange. It’s not like this isn’t exactly in character for him. I don’t think that it’s because these comments are misogynistic or sleazy, because those sort of comments have been out there for years and in every stage of his career and candidacy. It’s basically part of his brand.

I think it’s because this example had some cruder examples of language than others in the past. Though that still seems weird to me. It’s sort of like buying the Wal-Mart edit of Easy E’s EZ Duz It album and really liking it. But then getting an unedited copy with the swear words on it and getting offended at the misogynistic and sexual themes. The content’s the same, but there are more and cruder soundbytes to latch onto.

It’s pretty much what any guys would say amongst their friends. Any guy who denies it is full of crap…

And then

I thought Bill Clinton was pretty sleazy and wanted him out after the Lewinsky thing. I don’t feel too good about putting in another guy who is the same or worse.

It would appear you have conflicting opinions

My only comment on this entire sordid series of affairs (also known as Decision 2016) is this: The only thing we can be assured of is that in 2020, after four years of Clinton, the Republicans will run someone so vile, you will actively miss Donald Trump. If you don’t agree, let’s think wistfully back to 2000-2008 – the good ol’ Dubya Regime. Look, Dubya was a stooge and Chaney was a crook, but at least you know where you stood with them. And that’s part of the problem. We settle for far too little in our leaders. So you’ve got a battle between the Antichrist and voting for someone you don’t like so the Antichrist doesn’t get into the White House. Some fucking choice.

The Republicans have no bottom. Just keep touch with this lil’ post here and we’ll have us a fireside chat in 2019. Lowell out.

Perfect analogy.
As far as your response to djpon3, i find far more guys are crude like that towards women. I rarely run into guys such as yourself. I agree with djpon3 it locker room talk that it seems every guy engages in… at least where im from. As unfortunate as it is it just seems to be everyday life

There is no conflict. There is a huge difference between talking trash with your buds and actually doing something trashy.[/reply]
Well it would appear all trump Has done is trash talk. How is he equal to or worse than bill in this respect? Cause near as i can tell all Trump has done is talk. Dont get me wrong. I completely agree with your assessment of dudes and trash talk but it seemed conflicting with bill and don cause near as i can tell trump is ALL talk where bill is a man of action, so it gave the idea that one was just as bad as the other.

Trump’s been pretty open with his cheating while married and has admitted to it numerous times. See some of his many Howard Stern appearances for some good examples. More disturbingly is the way he brags about being able to advance on women unwantedly, which is pretty sleazy. It’s not like Clinton’s better, since he also used his position of power to advance on women. And I’m reasonably sure that, given the win, either of them will fully go to town on whoever they can get their hands on while in office, regardless of any ethical issues.

I talk gross and trashy all the time.
But, that being said, neither me or my friends still engage in the type of immature “locker talk” where we need to brag about “getting pussy” or whatever. And in the times when I find myself around some Jersey Shore type dipshits who do feel the need to shoot off their mouth about shit like that I remove myself pretty quickly because it’s just boring and lame.

I may have been impressed by a dude who got some pussy when I was 13. But at age 42 I not only do not care what anyone does, I also do NOT want to hear about it.

It’s the same with booze and “getting wasted”. I’m not against getting loaded . . . but it’s not something to brag about. It’s just dumb. It was one of the things that really turned me off of Al Jourgensen around the 2010-2014 time frame where he thought he was impressing us by telling us how wasted he was. Dude, you’re a 60 year old alcoholic. It’s not cute or funny. It’s embarrassing at best, and in cases like his, a symptom of a life of downwardly spiraling destruction.

You should absolutely move or start hanging around in different circles. That attitude is pretty poisonous. I treat it the same way I do when people casually throw around racial slurs. It’s just not acceptable.

Agreed completely.

Yeah, i read a few of his stern appearances yesterday. Thats still just talk though. I gathered he was just, more or less, playing a part for what the show is. I mean he talks about divorcing women when they hit 35 because theyre past their prime or whatever but thats clearly not the case since his wife is well over 35 she was over 35 when he married her. So all his talk of cheating is still nust more talk (well at least with this wife- never kept up with trump i hate celebrity gossip so i have no idea why his other marriages folded) i got to tell you what really put me ill at ease was his bragging about going back stage when the women were changing during his beauty contests under the guise of making sure the show was running well. Talk or not that really made my stomach turn for those women. I already think beauty pageants objectify women as it is and have no idea why any woman would do that to themselves but then to hear trump just sleazes his way back there… bleck! But again this all pales in comparison to to what he says about minorities.

Yes.

Im way less tolerant with the racial slurs than i am with hyper sexual man talk. My friends and i engage in the hyper sexual talk but its not often and when we do its a joke because we are married and near as i can tell none of us would cheat and when we weren’t married these women were out of our league. So I view it as nothing more than than a joke. And we’re certainly never as graphic as trump unless were being hyperbolic. But yeah i can hear that kinda talk just in the grocery store. Ive never really put much thought into it because ive always assumed it was just dudes being dudes, akin to playing the dozens. Moving isnt an option and i dont really have a circle of friends any more as my 20+ year friends are unaccessible, one is dead and the other moved across the country and another one has been put on lock down by his wife once they got married. When i hang out with gunnar or some his other friends that he may bring along we have music, prongs or just general silliness to talk about. Work friends will talk like that but only when we go off campus but that is pretty rare. i just associate it with dirty jokes theres a time and place for it. Out of context someone may be offended but in context its harmless.

Every time I keep hearing or reading this phrase, I keep thinking of this gem:

Which, in turn, became these:

I’m…kind of banking on Donald’s line to become fodder for on-air hijinks like that.

[reply]It’s pretty much what any guys would say amongst their friends.

I think we live in different worlds. [/reply]

I’m with bisquitodoom here.

i don’t talk like that ever. i curse like a monster, and have a part time gig being the door guy at a bar, and my actual line of work has had be working in prisons, at hoe less youth drop in centers, and working with needle exchanges and rehabilitation programs, and i still never find myself in a situation where i have any desire to talk like that.

i think he real issue here with this audio leak isn’t that he SAID it, but more so that he said it knowing he was in a situation where he could be recorded. its that sorta ‘i don’t care, I’m untouchable’ part that actually scares me. i don’t want the president to feel invincible. i want the president to be someone who is on their toes, not just sneering and saying ‘what ya gonna do?’.

clinton is a sack of crap as well, and the idea that in my life time the presidential lineage could be Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Obama, Obama, Clinton is also really scary. especially when we go back a few elections to discover that Reagan’s crew was pretty in line and frighteningly similar to the Bush crew.

but i think the other issue of note with the leaked audio isn’t the word ‘pussy’ because that word means nothing, i know a shit ton of people WITH vaginas who use that word affectionately, the word in question is ‘grab’, and the context that it carries.

saying ‘i wanna fuck her, really get that pussy’ is one thing (albeit a weirdly desperate thing to just say…) but saying something like ‘grab them in the pussy’, with the added context of it simply being ok to do because you are rich, and all women want you anyway is dangerous, sadistic, and most importantly shows a level of disconnect and arrogance that is terrifying in a world leader.

and yeah, dude, of course this is the thing that sinks him. talking about people of color, or non-christian religions, the people directly impacted by that aren’t the people who decide the news. ragging on the poor? they aren’t the ones in charge either. the disenfranchised or dispossessed? naaaah. but trump says something that endangers and belittles white women? then thats something that shakes the top offices of US media conglomerates.
