The new Gorillaz came out this week and it’s a corker! I’ve never much listened to the Gorillaz or been the biggest Blur fan (though I did quite enjoy The Good, The Bad and the Queen). This album, however, brings me great joy. Anyone else heard it?
Damn. Knew there was probably going to be another one, but I didn’t know it would be this soon. I’ll have to check it out.
Have heard bits and pieces from it. They have an impressive guest list on the album (Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, Lou Reed, De La Soul…) The song that featured Snoop Dog on it (I think it was Snoop Dog) sounded catchy, a sort of summer song ya know.
Saw Blur last year… nearly fell asleep on my feet. Very overrated band.
