GODFLESH, the industrial metal band from Birmingham, England which formed in 1988 by Justin K. Broadrick (guitar, vocals, and programming) and G. C. Green (bass) and disbanded in 2002, will perform at next year’s installment of the Hellfest, set to take place June 18-20, 2010 in Clisson, France. This will mark the reunited group’s only appearance in Europe.

The Hellfest festival billing is shaping up as follows:

Broadrick has not said anything official yet. I wonder is it the promoters of the festival are trying to get him on board, he ponders it, meanwhile they announce it, tickets sell faster because Godflesh are way better than any other band on that line up, word of mouth comes back that some people are going to the festival primarily for Godflesh then Broadrick will say “ok”.

If it does go ahead I would consider it. But I have little to no interest in the other bands.

I still don’t think it’ll happen.

If it does happen it’ll be Jesu playing a few Godflesh songs…and even that sounds far fetched.

Kiss, Twisted Sister and Godflesh on the same bill…that would be an awesome sight!

I hope Justin only sings the Godflesh songs and lets Kiss do the music.

Has Godflesh even been disbanded long enough for demand to be high to see them?

Either way I hope they come to the states. Broadrick can’t actually sing so I’d rather see him screaming and doing Godflesh than live Jesu.

Jesu’s been getting pretty disappointing for some time now anyway. Does this mean he’s given up on Stoner Pop?

EDIT: Also, did anyone notice the band “Monkey 3” on that bill? Sound familiar? Again my genius is the subject of copyright infringement…

Their songs are probly, like, all watered down with “metaphors” and shit. Fucking faggots.

Both Broadrick and Green have already confirmed it, albeit not officially.

As for the festival’s lineup - Ulver is on there. They are brilliant live.

You’ve been stuck in the vortex of the Peligro’s Boyfriend thread…can’t blame you though…that thread is awesome!

As for this Godflesh reunion…I still won’t believe it until Broadrick confirms it…and even then I won’t believe it until the folk over on the Avalanche forum write their reviews for the show the day after.
