Gunnar… (and others perhaps),
just got this link from ghost on facebook…
you can win tickets to the ghost show in your area. probably no chance in hell you’ll actually win, but who knows… worth a shot…
Cool. Thanks (I just entered the contest). It’s not a show I’d want to pay for, but I’ll definitely take a freebie.
Thanks!
I already bought tickets.
Rev - we’re going to need a review!
I’ll give you one, but the show’s not 'til May…
I think they are interesting. I’m not into their whole ‘Satan’ thing, but I respect the theatrics of it, and the mythology.
Come to think of it, I have a certain level of interest for any ‘Ghost’ band. There’s so many of us, we should have a Ghost Festival: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Festival
They played here last night.
Guess I didn’t win tickets.
can’t wait to smoke pot with them in oakland…
This is probably a more appropriate statement…

The transition at 1:05 is splendid.

I hope the new song is a strong indication on what’s to come on the new album…
Their Beatles cover is freakin sick.
Their Beatles cover is freakin sick.
“Here Comes The Sun”
Yes. One of my favorite covers ever.

Yea! Not too many metal bands have the balls to cover 60’s pop songs.

Or they do and, big surprise, they just make it “really fast and loud and heavy, maaaaannn!!!”
The Ghost cover was so fresh and interesting. It was unique and haunting but not at all in a cheesy or gimmicky way.

Hmmm Ministry rings a bell. Haha!
Does anyone but me hate all the jackasses at shows who hold up their cameras/iPhones for entire songs? I don’t mind if they take photos here and there, but I get so irritated when some schmuck in front of me is recording the damn thing for the entire show. Watch the concert, you prick! If the band is so great they’ll probably put out a DVD some day anyway.

Thank you. Amen.

Couldn’t agree more…it’s symptomatic of todays generation…instead of living in the moment they are more concerned with using their latest up to the second technology to record something to put on facebook or whatever the fuck…as if there won’t be 13 million other shitty cell phone recordings posted of the same show…ugh
I think you’ve nailed it, Queer. Sometimes I’ll see updates on someone’s FB page which are actually sent FROM a concert during the show like . . . . “Ministry is killin’ it! They’re playing ‘So What’ now! It’s totally awesome!”
Really? So awesome that you thought, “Hey, I got an idea! Instead of listening to and watching this awesome show I’ll pull out my phone and Tweet everyone a play-by-play!” I might, if there’s something particularly amazing and unique that I want to capture an image of (usually this means something like a guy bloodied from catching an elbow in the pit, or two girls pulling each others’ hair or something), pull out my phone and try to snap an image or two here and there, but I would NEVER even think to actually try to communicated with the outside world during a show (I’m perplexed by people that actually have a conversation on their phone with someone in the middle of the show — I have a hard enough time hearing mine just while driving).
If you’re so busy and so important that you can’t wait 2 hours to talk to someone on the phone . . . . DON’T GO TO SHOWS!!! And if you do go to shows (you still shouldn’t) and must use your phone, go to the merch area or into the bathroom or something. Don’t be an annoying, inconsiderate asshole.
