This is the debut of Nursing Home 2009. I have uploaded new photos and music to the the myspace page and facebook group. This next phase marks the inclusion of Andrew Sanzo as the new guitarist and co-singer of Nursing Home. Andrew and I have known each other since we were children, but it wasn’t until now that our musical collaboration could be possible.
Nursing Home will always be the voice of Justin Symbol. But like a vampire, it needs fresh blood in order to reinvent itself with each phase of its development. I suffered writer’s block after the dissolution of The Nursing Home Band in Syracuse and my relocation back to Connecticut. The focus on terrorism abroad shifted as a new leader emerged. The white picket fences became black, but Americana and the Nursing Home still plagued me.
Andrew was the cure. He is a rock star and a pharmaceutical messiah. He reinvigorated my Industrial shock terrorism with a dose of speed-infused rock 'n roll from the heart of the Bayou. “Generation Rx” was formed completely in Connecticut and was the first Nursing Home song co-written lyrically. Andrew and I captured with a pen and paper what I believe are the best lyrics I have ever written. If the generation that parents and authorities feared in the nineties was Generation X, then we are the Generation Rx. The federal pharmacopia.
in addition, I have remastered two classics from The Nursing Home Band’s 2008 album ‘You Don’t Have the Right Not to be Offended’. “Addiction” and “Little Girls” are presented the way they were meant to be heard, with new guitar courtesy of Baba Yaga and new drum programming by yours truly.
The new songs, photos, and lyrics are all available at:

More NHB songs will be remastered and uploaded soon, as well as new material from Nursing Home 2009.

This is Nursing Home 2009. Our days are measured in milligrams. Enjoy it while you can…
Lyrics:
We are Generation Rx
With days measured in milligrams
I went to school
Punched my ticket
Now give me my white collar
My prescription is my addiction
Is my affliction
Everything is fine
My prescription is my addiction
Is my affliction
Everything is alright
I’m not a nihilist
I just don’t give a shit
The rock ‘n rolled into the grave
You’ll find me in the federal pharmacopia
My prescription is my addiction
Is my affliction
Everything is fine
My prescription is my addiction
Is my affliction
Everything is alright
This isn’t poetry
Polemical lyricism
Hate anthems for the rich oppressed
And a middle finger for the rest of them
You went and fucked yourselves dry
Dehydrated H20 digital
A million ones and zeroes recycled in a great nausea so…
Motherfucking highbrow
Motherfucking lowbrow
Motherfucking no brow
Highbrow
Lowbrow
No brow
My prescription is my addiction
Is my affliction
Everything is fine
My prescription is my addiction
Is my affliction
Everything is alright
Fuck yeah
Fuck yeah
Fuck you
