gday, i’m evil dildo,
i’ve lurked here for ages, and enjoyed the banter a lot more than that of the piss army.
i used to be on the piss army, but they got too ‘elitist’ for my liking, which strikes me as hilarious considering how their banter consists solely of lapping up everything al serves em like mindless puppies or childish stupid fucking insults.
i’m 17, male, from melbourne, australia. it’s not so bad a city, i mean, we DID give the world jim thirlwell [:)]

Can’t argue with that.
Where abouts in Melbourne? I’m from S/E suburbs.
Have you heard of Synaesthesia Records?? My friend owns it. Check it out.

Oh to be sure. They suck the proverbial cock.

Jim Thirwell grew up in Camberwell. Posh suburb.
He hated Melbourne and the people who live there. Couldn’t wait to leave. Nick Cave was the same. Can’t say I blame them. Come May I am moving to London for good. Can’t stand this place. World’s most livable city? Sure, assuming yr a brain dead suburban retard, that is.
i’m from the n/e suburbs, around that heidelberg, rosanna area…
surprises me a LOT to hear thirlwell was from camberwell. completely destroys that self made starving artist persona i always sorta envisaged…
melbourne ain’t such a bad city, and the people are fine. i guess to some, we seem pretty fucking ignorant, but why get all uppity about it? let people be ignorant, their loss. but i think we’re a pretty cultured city, and there’s a bit of everything. then again, i haven’t ever been to an overseas city, ánd i’m guessing it’d be right for me to assume melbourne has nothing on london or new york in terms of underground and culture.
i haven’t heard of your mates record label… are there any notable local bands on it?

Who says you’re ignorant? I’ve never once heard that stereotype, and I like to think that I know them all! I had a very lovely time in Australia (every little bit of it), although I did rather like New Zealand as well. They’re just so…clean. It’s uncanny, I tell you. A fully developed culture that…picks up after itself. Unreal.
Oh, to be sure. They suck the proverbial cock.
And which proverb is that, exactly? Really, though, best of luck in your current endeavor. I love London quite a bit more than I should, I suppose.
