oh yes

someone said that FP has a “happier” song at the end
well come to think of it, most ministry albums end in a “differnent that the whole rest of album” way

twitch - ends with insane medley that drives into total chaos progressively
lorah - ends on “twitchy” track abortive
mind - ends on dream song which drones on one note
psalm - corrosion + grace, good contrast with guitary stuff like “hero”
fp - brick windows, bouncy track after whole buttload of slow stuff
spoon - 10/10
animos - leper which is totally different than all album in song’s first part, but this is intentional of course…

lions mouth - was then released on leary tribute cd. iirc someone from ministry said that it was gonna appear on FP album tracklist.

This was mentioned in an Alternative Press interview. Jason Pettigrew met up with Al and Paul before FP was done being recorded and they played him demos. One was Lion’s Mouth, most likely with lyrics and vocals by Al, as there was no mention of Leary. All Pettigrew said was that it was an “overtly anti-religious song” or somesuch.

spoon - 10/10

Actually it ends on Linda Summertime

Hell even “Brick Windows” would have been good as a single.

It didn’t get a lot of push, but Ministry (or Warner Brothers) agreed with you:

Most likely Warner. I imagine some record exec sitting and listening to the album thinking “oh dear…” then “Brick Windows” comes on and it’s like “well that’s a bit toe-tappin’!”

Seriously though the main single should have been “Dead Guy”. It’s way more representative of the album, and it’s relatively short and could have been edited down.

My guess is they wanted ‘Psalm 69 pt.2’ and when they realized they weren’t getting that, they picked the most industrial sounding song to be the single.

Actually it ends on Linda Summertime

to be perfectly anal, the track doesnt have a title, no?

and who cares, that track is shit anyway.
