I liked Gaddafi, Kaddafi, Qaddafi . . . whatever the fudge his name is.
I think as part of the 35+ set we have a special connection with him because he was the dictator we all grew up with.
He had mad style too, always rockin’ the shades like a total badass. He’s like the Lou Reed of dictators.
Gene Simmons kind of looks like Qaddafi.
For most people their ending comes too soon. For him? Too late. I know evil dwells elsewhere too - corrupt leaders, corrupt bureaucrats and corrupt influencers, creators and perpetrators of cults and other systems that spin their wheels on misery, suffering and death of others. Alas, they are all too common, common enough to be called human.
But yes, Qaddafi, he was a dictator, a tyrant, true oppressor of the people of Libya. Is this world we live in a better place without him? I believe so. So good riddance to him. To the people of Libya who will tomorrow wake to a new dawn without his person I wish the best of luck, peace and prosperity.
I Know he was still in power but was he still the asshole that we were told he was back in the early 80’s? I thought at this point he was more of a figurehead than anything else with no real pull.
What has he really done since reagen got done kicking him around?
Also, now what? Are there still sides? Has the military defected now? Who is in charge? are they just gonna swap out dictators now or are they going for a democratic republic.
Or is it going to be a disjointed country with no real authority structure in place?
