fundraiser tonight @ Halsted theatre

Please join friends of WAX TRAX! Records, SATURDAY MARCH 26TH for a silent auction fundraiser and special night of on-stage entertainment.
In preparation for the Wax Trax Records, 33 1/3 Anniversary RETROSPECTACLE, The CENTER ON HALSTED has organized a fundraising party to help offset costs for the larger charity event in April (flying in European rock stars ain’t cheap, Ya-know)
A cabaret style performance will include musician JON LANGFORD- from The Mekons & Waco Brothers, Wax Trax recording artist CHRIS CONNELLY, the BLUE RIBBON GLEE CLUB as well as a special onstage interview with Chicago’s very own legend CYNTHIA PLASTERCASTER.
In addition to the live portion of the night, A silent auction will take place and will feature special goodies from Chicagoland artists & businesses as well as a few rare Wax Trax! related items.
Please click [url “http://cherryberry321.wordpress.com/2040-2/”]HERE for a list of auction items. To accommodate the Wax Trax! collectors who can’t be present, waxtraxchicago.com will be accepting email bids.
RAFFLE TICKETS will be available throughout the night, and 2 pair of Wax Trax! RETROSPECTACLE passes will be given away. The two night RETROSPECTACLE concert in April sold out in a matter of hours, and this opportunity is a rare chance to secure new tickets.
Opening its doors on Lincoln Ave. in 1978, Wax Trax! Records was the flash point for Chicago’s underground art & music scene during the 1980’s &1990’s. Initial recordings by such groups as Ministry, Front 242, and KMFDM, secured Wax Trax! Records as principal innovators in what has come to be known as “industrial music”. Its creators, Jim Nash & Dannie Flesher, were not only pioneers within Chicago, but also a seminal music force that had international implications and respect. This fundraising event will benefit a larger Wax Trax! retrospective concert in April, as well as pay tribute to the two men that started it all. Nash & Flesher have since passed away, both succumbing to complications brought on by AIDS.
All proceeds generated will benefit the Charity, CENTER ON HALSTED.
This one time fundraiser will take place Saturday, March 26th at
The Center on Halsted theatre 3656 N. Halsted, Chicago 60613 from 6p-9p. Tickets are $15 and available at the door. Drinks and appetizers will be on hand ( 4 free drink tokens w/ each ticket)

i have someone standing-in for me tonight on behalf of my raffle tickets, but no, I wont be there.

I hope they raise lots of money!
I already have a Physical test pressing, but this one —>http://cherryberry321.wordpress.com/revolting-cocksphysical-test-pressing-12-signed-by-chris-connelly/ up for auction was tempting not to bid on.

that pressing is cool.

chris’ sig (“love, chris”) reminds me of the one i got from him and william tucker in Knoxville. chris signed it “best wishes”, and william signed it “don’t know you”. lol.

chris seems like a dear soul.

to back up my assumption… when i saw the cocks in 91 in St louis. they came out and started doing BSQ…place. went. fucking. nuts. some dude got lifted up by he buddies and the crowd was floating him. everything going on around was nuts. it was loud. that beat. so as the guys’ floating, he pulls out his dick and just starts waving it around. it was hilarious and classic “cocks”. anywho, dude starts to lose his balance, and his pants are down so he’s struggling … chris starts trying to help the guy get down. meanwhile everyone else is just watching to see if he’d bust his ass or not.

connelly , despite his scottishness, is an old careful soul.
(maybe he now won’t let me destroy his closets…)

Fuuuuuuuck.
