Fudge Tunnel

Continuing the new tradition of talking about other bands on this board (although nobody seems to care about Esoteric, why?), lets discuss Fudge Tunnel.

I think they put Prong and Helmet to shame in the heaviness department, and their last album has some of the most vicious vocals I ever heard. I find myself listening to them often when I’m in the mood for something really hateful.

Random Acts Of Cruelty.

Hate Songs In E Minor is brilliant.

I love everything they put out, it all still gets spins on the stereo, esp ‘hate songs’ ‘teeth’ and ‘creep diets’ releases. altho, my least favorite release over all was ‘complicated’ - something about the tone of it post-nailbomb was just off compared to the earlier releases.

and i like helmet and prong as well :stuck_out_tongue:

and as for Esoteric - you didn’t include any links etc, so i didn’t bother - not to mention there is a hip-hop artist who also has established that name (at least used it for 5+ years).

These guys have been around for nearly 20…
Most of their songs are also 20 or more minutes long, so I’m guessing you won’t find whole songs on the myspace page.

funny you mention helmet and prong, in my head i often thought of the other when thinking of one, but have no idea why.

I saw them open for Sepultura, Fear Factory, and Clutch many years ago.

Great show.

I saw them at the now defunct Lounge Axe touring for Creep Diets. That was an up close and ridiculously loud show. Loved it.

Hate Songs in E minor is a classic.

I dream of a super group of Alex Newport, Steve Albini, Hamilton Page and a drum machine.

Hi.

I dream of a super group of Alex Newport, Steve Albini, Hamilton Page and a drum machine.

That might be too much of a good thing, they would never agree on what to sound like

I TOTALLY remember that video game. [:)]

Very underrated band.
When they opened for Sepultura they were very negatively welcomed by the crowd, almost aggressively!..

ya know… i must be getting old but “fudge tunnel”… i can’t bring myself to look into a CD with a band of that name. HOWEVER, I realize that i bought revolting cocks (i saw in my WAX TRAX flier inside my Front 242 “official version”) for the fact that is was ministry and front 242 and that the name tripped me out. but yes - i realize that its a paradox. Which leads me to bring this up…

does everyone change and want more or is it just me? am i getting old? or do we buy/like music simply because its what we believe we SHOULD listen to? i really don’t know.

like… “anal cunt” - i mean come on.

anyone?

I think I know what you’re getting at. Kind of like how I no longer make negative comments to my wife when she turns the radio up when some lame R&B song comes on?

I still would never buy it, but hearing Chris Brown or Rihanna doesn’t offend me like it used to.

How old are you?..

I’d rather listen to some Anal Cunt that to this $%&#@! And I’m not young anymore since a long time… [crazy]

38 - no that’s not a cocks reference. [:P]

I’m even older, but maybe the Fudge Tunnel name doesn’t bother me really because English is not my mother tongue… maybe.

Anyway Fudge Tunnel was a great band!

I quite like Rihanna actually. That track she does that riffs off the metal-ish version of “Blue Monday” is awesome. I’m 34 and that idea would have made me want to kill myself at 17-24 (my hardcore music snob noise/industrial days/experimental days), but these days I don’t worry too much, I just listen to what I like

Brilliant one hit wonder of a band.
