The majority of the videos presented here I believe to be the ultimate editions. I have been collecting recordings of independent origin since the 80’s
and I have never come across better versions in all those years. But of course I’d be happily proven wrong by your uploads, upgrading some of these.
Similar collections will be made available for the years 1991, 1992 and 1993. Keep an eye on the unartig Facebook page. My interest in the band started fading
away in 1992 so my post 1993 collection isn’t all that. Maybe collectors with an extended interest in the band will step up and make similar collections available
for the later incarnations of the band.

All collections feature all known audience recorded videos that circulated at some point. The only exceptions being
Essen 1991 (left side angle) and the third angle for Amsterdam 1991. I simply don’t have those. I used to have a 1st
gen VHS copy of Essen 1991 but unfortunately it got destroyed. If anyone feels inclined to share those, it’d be much
appreciated. Enjoy these collections and preserve them for future generations. ~unartignyc.com September 2015

All DVDs in this collection are ripped from legit analog sources, no YouTube downloads. The YouTube links provided
below are merely for quality reference.

1983/04/01 Glasgow, Nightmoves 43min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDDLYMltO1A
PAL DVD, transferred from a nice 2nd generation VHS tape.
In-house cam, shot from an elevated dead center spot. Image
and sound quality are great for a 1983 recording. Never the
less the image is slightly blurry.

Setlist:
Kiss the Carpet
Anaconda
Alice
Adrenochrome
Valentine
Burn
Jolene
Floorshow
Heartland
Body Electric
Lights
Gimme Shelter

1983/04/23 Peterborough, Technical College 33min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIOHxquYDOI
PAL DVD, transferred from an unknown source. Half of the footage
is generated down to a b&w degree. The rest is full color but far
from being great. The camera for this audience shot was positioned
on the left side on the balcony. Also on the disc are the 7min Amsterdam 83
and 13min Berlin 83 shows. A lower generation upgrade would be nice.

Setlist:
Burn
Heartland
Valentine
Jolene
Adrenochrome
Floorshow
Body Electric
Gimme Shelter
Sister Ray

1983/06/29 London, Brixton Academy 34min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FveXi9PgRRM
PAL DVD, XP transferred by dummkopf from a pristine 2nd generation VHS tape
at maximum bit rate. Audience shot from left side onstage or front row. Both
image and audio quality are outstanding for a 1983 video. This shares a disc
with the 12min version of York 1984.

Setlist:
Kiss the Carpet
Alice
Anaconda
Valentine
Burn
Jolene
Heartland
Adrenochrome
Floorshow
Gimme Shelter
Emma
Body Electric

1983/08/28 Amsterdam, Paradiso 7min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbSt_JuFVVg
PAL DVD, transferred from an unknown source. Unless this has originally been
recorded in b&w it must be considered highly generated. I am not sure if it
was professionally shot, probably not. Only a part of the sound check has been
captured. The sound quality is great and at least the video is free of glitches.
The segment is included on the Peterborough 1983 dvd.
Setlist:
Emma

1983/08/30 Berlin, Loft 13min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKMIHZ-eqfg
PAL DVD, transferred from a low to mid generation source. These 3 songs are also
included on the Peterborough 83 disc and it is unclear if they were recorded by
crew or audience members. The camera was positioned in the back but zooms in nicely.
The sound quality is excellent.

Setlist:
Kiss The Carpet
Body Electric
Floorshow

1984/04/01 Chicago, IL, Exit Club 55min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdfM6z-aQXg
NTSC DVD, transferred from a low to mid generation source. Image and audio quality
are both good but not perfect. Audience shot from a dead center position with a
slightly elevated camera.

1984/09/22 York, Racecourse Festival 71min & 12min

2 DVD PAL Set by Rise & Reverberate. Includes both the complete distant shot and
the 3 song front row angle.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8BeMNE_6pE
Cam1 (71min): XP transferred and PC authored from a pristine 1st generation VHS source.
The image quality is almost flawless for an audience recording from 1984. The only
downside of this 71min complete version is its lack of close ups. The camera angle
remains fairly distant throughout the show. Never the less the image is very steady
and enjoyable. Another outstanding aspect of this 2 DVD set is the fantastic audio
quality as the video was upgraded with a 1st gen audio recording. Believe me when I
say it doesn’t get much better than this. And I haven’t even mentioned the beautiful
menus with song selection and rare old artwork yet. To top it all off, there are ‘bonus’
features like the 2nd angle 12min front row version of the same show and the full Old Grey
Whistle Test performance from 85, both also 1st gen sourced.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ntg0B_EQo38
Cam 2 (12min): 1st generation sourced 12min version. Shot from front row on the right hand side.
This comes as an extra on the 71min 2 dvd set. Awesome stuff and extremely rare in this outstanding
quality.

1984/11/12 Stuttgart, Maxims 81min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw4fICJBZcA
PAL DVD, transferred from a low generation source, most likely master or 1st gen sourced. The problem
with this show is its low visibility. The band can’t be made out at all. It is a fog inferno in addition
to the low lights. The audio quality is excellent as the original camera audio was replaced with a fine
sounding recording. Filmed from right next to the soundboard.

Setlist:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4ItJHKvF38

The image quality is so so, even though it is full color. Audio wise the recording is excellent.

1990/10/30 Rio de Janeiro, Canecao Club 60min

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmocZIGseig
PAL DVD, SA transferred from an unknown source. The transfer quality is terrible and quite pixelated. The source
itself looks like a mid generation tape as there is quite a bit of color bleeding. This audience shot was taken
from an elevated spot on the left hand side. You’ll find occasional obstruction and the thing isn’t overly steady.
In addition to all that, the image is rather blurry and the sound is very low.

Setlist:
First and Last and Always
Lucretia My Reflection

Cam1 (90min): PAL DVD, riped by (((unartig))) from a 2nd generation VHS tape. I used to have a copy straight from the
taper but, much like Essen 1991, it got destroyed. So I borrowed a copy I made for a friend back in the early 90’s.
Despite its low generation the transfer comes with ugly color distortions, especially during red scenes. The audience
shot was recorded from a right side tier angle and is fairly steady throughout. The audio quality is perfectly fine.
Too bad the image quality isn’t.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TietwTJfjd8
Cam2 (103min): PAL DVD, PC authored from the original master tape source. Audience shot from the right side tier. The
image is a little unsteady and obstructed at times but provides some sweet close ups. This angle is different from
Version 1 and even though the image quality suffers a little bit from obstruction and camera problems, the audio quality
is stellar. Actually we are dealing with quite a gem here. Recorded by Butler501, DVD re-authored by DocSommer.

PAL DVD, PC authored and transferred from a low generation VHS tape. Unfortunately the transfer is a little bit
pixilated at times. The audience shot was taken from the right side tier and is fairly unobstructed. There are
a few heads here and there. This is clearly a handheld recording as the image is mostly unsteady. Audio wise it
is mediocre to ok. Still a good fun show to watch.

2 DVD PAL Set, XP encoded and PC authored from a pristine 1st generation VHS tape. This audience film was shot
from the left side tier. It has nice audio and a reasonably good picture. The image quality is somewhat limited
due to blurriness. Especially during close ups the image seems to be out of focus which makes this a rather
unpleasant viewing experience. Never the less this 2008 transfer is probably as good as it gets for this
particular show. Transferred and authored by Marco L.
