For fuck's sake, RIP :(

My favourite Italian, other than Mussolini, has passed on [:(]

Actually saddened by this, normally I’m not. Bummer, guess he had a decent innings [:(]

Yeah he was a fun character. The latest creed of wrestlers are no fun, it’s like a white-trash soap opera!

Toot had an excellent thread a while back on wrestling, perhaps that would be worth revisiting.

RIP Captain Lou

P.S. - Hope you are joking about Moussilini!

Lou got a good run for a wrestler. I can never remember him wrestling but I do remember him as a personality. Seems like he was a decent guy. RIP

Cyndi Lauper’s dad in “Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun” Video!
Yeah, I never remembered him wrestling either. he was always a manager of some sort!
Sad he died. Although, Can’t believe he lived this long! Hell, who woulda thought he would out live JYD? I always thought he was destined for heart disease or a heart attack years ago!
Late,

Oh he wrestled for sure…

How come people seem so adverse to remembering him as Super Mario? Granted, I didn’t watch as much wrestling as some folk, but I find his persona completely inseparable from his career as a plumber.

I was floored to find out he was 76 years old. i had No idea he was that old. when i saw the headline I figured another “early wrestiling death”

at least now i don’t have to worry about him gettin on my ass when I try to get with Cyndi Lauper

he was the original rubber band man.
rip.

It seems that the earlier generations of wrestlers far outlived those of the past couple of decades. The amount of wrestlers who have died before the age of 45 is staggering be it drug related, accidental, or suicide. If there was an epidemic of deaths like this in any pro sports there would be some heavy investigations.

Anyways Lou was a true larger than life character, and as ed said the original rubber band man.

I’m gonna “do the Mario” for this motherfucker tonight, fa sho. RIP.

yeah, that’s how i most fondly remember him. glad this was brought up.

NOOOO MARIO IS DEAD

I sincerely hope he got the chance to fuck Cyndi Lauper before he died. [:(]

While being called ‘Papa’.

I always thought the Capt managed crappy wrestlers. He should of been a bad guy in his prime and managed cool baddies like Mr Wonderful and The Hammer!

He was the perfect man for Mario though for sure.

RIP

Dude, he managed a bunch of people. I remember him managing the headshrinkers in the 90s. Good stuff. Never saw him wrestle. And
i’m amazed that he was mario. I had seen that show a few times, once recently, and would never have guessed that was him.
