Tonight We Murder, Destruction or Where You At Now?.
Also could you ask him about Al, I mean there is a photo where they are hanging out with Franz Treichler from The Young Gods. Did they have any plans to ñreate another side-project?
VERY cool! Thirlwell is a real favourite of mine.
The new electronic Xordox album is really cool.
I find it really interesting how un-jaded and open he is after all of these years. He’s still constantly going to art and music show (in an interview one time he said he is like a whale and needs to take in huge gulps of creative stimulation, which I thought was a nice metaphor). Check out his tumblr page (which is mostly about drawing attention to cool things other people are doing, rather than his own stuff): http://jgthirlwell.tumblr.com/
Huge Foetus fan. Sadly I can’t get into any of his side projects. Havent heard of Xordox tho. Guess I’m too picky and pretty much only enjoy the noise filled, acid Elvis, industrial schtick I get from Feotus.
Edit: got around to looking up Xordox, shit is fantastic. Possible Perturbator influenced, so its right up my alley.
Great new song. One of the best of the side projects I’ve heard. I could never get all that into Manorexia or Steroid Maximus either. Wiseblood was bitchin’ though, and I do give Steroid Maximus extra points for the Venture Bros. theme originally being one of its tracks from the 90s.
For the most part though, I fucking love Foetus and listen to it pretty frequently. Too many great songs to list. Jim’s been mentioning wanting to put out another compilation record of those early non-album Foetus singles and b-sides (basically getting the stuff Sink missed) and I would crowdfund the shit out of that just like I did with Soak.
My interview with Foetus has not aired yet btw. At the last minute decided to postpone it. It will be airing for sure this Sunday though, and after it will be podcasted online.
So far some cool questions! I have already asked him about uncle Al before though, and his answer was very short. Just told me they did 3 shows together back in 1996,and that’s it. I am sure he has tons of respect for Al though. Foetus doesn’t like to speak too much about others it seems. He is not the type who is keen on “What’s your favorite this or that?” type questions either.
Anyways it’s awesome to hear Xordox is good. I’ll be playing some rare EBM,and a ton of early Ministry mixed in with early Foetus! [angelic][:P]
My mixing skills have come a long way since I last posted here in 2013 also. I still use cassettes/analog,but my mixes are done mostly digital on the computer these days. I have gotten in touch in Al himself a few times over the years also. He is friends with me on FB lol,and I have his actual email address.
