OK, so I dug into this and I thought it deserves its own thread rather than just being the back end of the tour documentary thread.
What you do is sign up for a Tunecore account, which is an online music distribution service. Then you go to the “Special Artist Offers” menu (the Fix website doesn’t actually explain this) and select the contest. You then download a .zip with all the samples and bass parts from the song Psalm 69 along with some Fix promo stuff and a message from Paul about the contest. The idea is that you create a new song with the bass/sample audio files and Paul picks one to be on the Fix soundtrack.
The catch is that you have to release your song as a Tunecore distributed single, which costs $10. So you pay ten bucks to enter the contest. I don’t know the details of how Tunecore works, but I guess if you can convince enough friends to pay for your single you can make that money back pretty quick.
I’m gonna write and enter a Cryptids track and do this thing.
