first european gig

i am off to the forum in kentish town (london) in a minute to witness the start of their european tour. am hoping for some old tunes… heh…

Yeah i’m off to Glasgow on friday night to see’em…expect an indepth Toot review!

yea - let us know what happens!

thanks.

I hear they’re going to pull out a medley of “Love Change”, “No Name No Slogan”, “Happy Dust” and “Tonight We Murder” for the European Shows.

Planned guests for the European leg is set to include Ogre, Ninah Hagen, Falco, Luc Van Acker, Scary Spice, Fred Durst and Kris Kristofferson.

Have fun guys!!

I’m holding out for the return of The Grand Wizard.

Planned guests for the European leg is set to include…Falco…

Falco is dead! he died in a car wreck, like, 10 years ago!
perhaps they should cross him off the guest list!

Hey, Al said “You never know who might show up” so I wouldn’t rule out Falco yet. He never promised that all the guests would be breathing.

Rumors are that Falco’s lay-inert-on-the-ground solo during breakdown in “Tonight We Murder” is amazing!

I’m holding out for the return of The Grand Wizard.

Imagine how cool it will be with Grand Wizard pulling lead duties on “Test” while Fred Durst punctuates the GZ’s profound skills with an appropriate “Yeeeee-ah” here and there!

my guess is barack obama shows up to give al the heads up.

on second thought, maybe hillary clinton.or the ultimate score, bush.

Al did say that he and Georgie-Poo were going to ride off into the sunset together - may be wasn’t talking in metaphor.

I bet Bush doesn’t even know Al exists!!
Bush:“Ministry? Huh huh he he yeah I go to church!”

church!?! i thought he worshipped baseball?

i’m certain the cuban has a current fbi file. those people keep the skinniest of tabs. mine is probably killing their network and they’re bored by it. ha ha.
who gives a shit.
come get me while there are infinitely bigger fishies to fry.

Bush barely remembers how to speak, I doubt he knows about EVERY file within the FBI.

You’re kidding right? Don’t you know that Al is George’s arch nemesis? He’s like Snidely Whiplash for our beloved leader. Every time something goes wrong the White House walls shake to the sound of Mr. Bush’s cries of “Jourgeson!!!”

i predict obama does a yes show in the fair state of texas soon, and is declared the nominee this week, folks.
we’ll see what happens. perfect world.
as far as al goes, i hope he sees his old german girlfriend sabina and gets his emotional life in check. somehow.
he can’t be too drunk on the vino to care.

it was a really fucking good gig. the best bit, as far as i’m concerned, is the fact that there were no special guests at all. it was al on vox the whole way through, strapping on a guitar occassionally for a solo or two. they were really tight as a band. the fence was there. the set list wasn’t much different to others i’d seen, although they did 3 encores. first one was the classics, so what, nwo, just one fix and thieves. second one was the covers, just got paid, roadhouse blues and another couple, then the third (dunno if it was planned or not) was just them doing wonderful world (the quiet piano, then loud punky version). it really brought down the house. it was quite funny really cos there were a lot of poeple there at first who really weren’t getting into all the bush era stuff, but by the end everyone was pretty much going mental. nice. i’ve got to say the bush stuff sounds much better live (although the sound was a bit shit at first - it got better though). oh, and it wasn’t too loud, if anything it was too quiet at first. my g/f absolutely loved it too, which was bit of a surprise cos she’s not really into the heavier stuff. the tickets were a great birthday present from her. so yeh, i loved the gig too. was kinda sad when it ended. still, i don’t mind remembering ministry like that.

Personally it was a better gig than i thought it would be. Excluding the disasterous support of pythia (at only their 2nd gig!!!). The bush bashing is better live then on cd but as with every gig on this tour so far too bloody much of it!

I was really hoping there’d be no guest vocalists! Good times! The UK already is getting better shows than the US bwahahahahahahaha!!!

As for the fence…it looks like it may make the journey up to Glasgow??? I didn’t think it’d show face in the UK?? Hell the UK even got an extra song…even if it was another “Cover Up” shocker!

i predict obama does a yes show in the fair state of texas soon

That seems unlikely.
Obama’s more of a soul/funk/jazz man. Prog rock really isn’t his thing.
