Favorite side project tune?

I just picked up another copy of Pure Chewing Satisfaction yesterday (my first copy broke, like, four years ago), and I had totally forgotten what a great album this is. Been listening to Faith, Hope, & Treachery over and over, and was curious what some of your favorite songs from a side project were. Right now it’s a tie between Faith, Hope, & Treachery, Revco’s Something Wonderful, Pailhead’s I Will Refuse, and 1000 Homo DJ’s Apathy.
Any info on this new Lard LP Al mentioned?
I also picked up the Puppy Gristle disc, good stuff! Anyone know anything else in that vein?

Probably “Apathy”. The Last Temptation of Reid has some really great stuff though.

revolting cocks - stainless steel providers
programming the psychodrill - my favourite things
acid horse - no name no slogan luxa/pan version
lard - uh… hate the vox. forkboy i guess.
pailhead - man should surrender / no bunny / i will refuse (tie)
lead into gold - faster than light

there are many more revco faves but the one i mentioned got me into them.

Revolting Cocks: ‘Something Wonderful’
Lard: ‘Generation Execute’
Pailhead: ‘Man Should Surrender’
1,000 Homo DJ’s: ‘Apathy’

Union Carbide on YGSOAB

Al’S noted that Jello is appearing on the new RevCo LP out next year. That makes me suspect that the new Lard is not happening and they’re just folding what they’ve done together into RevCo.

Revolting Cocks - Attack Ships On Fire (YGDSOB)/You Often Forget (Benign), tied for 1st
Lard - Generation Execute
Pailhead - Ballad
1,000 Homo DJ’s - Apathy
Acid Horse - No Name, No Slogan (that was a tough one)
PTP - Rubber Glove Seduction
Lead Into Gold - Idiot

I like “Mate Spawn & Die” by Lard and “Something Wonderful” by Revco best…

1,000 Homo DJ’s - Supernaut
Acid Horse - No Name No Slogan
Lead Into Gold - Faster Than Light
Lard - 70’s Rock Must Die

Revolting Cocks - Something Wonderful & Attack Ships On Fire (live Chris on vox version)
Lead Into Gold - Idiot & Hatred
PTP - Show Me Your Spine
Pailhead - I Will Refuse & Man Should Surrender
Lard - Volcanus 2000

Heh, yay Im not alone in thinking Something Wonderful fucking rules.

Lunatic/Genius

Revolting Cocks - Attack Ships On Fire (live Chris on vox version)

FYI, if you’re referring to YGDSOB, that’s actually Luc Van Acker on vocals (same as Big Sexy Land).

I’d probably have to go with Get Down…albeit a bit long and stretched out…Ogre’s performance is what does it for me. “please get on your knees and give me head” ! [laugh]

Nope, gots a bootleg with Mr.Connelly and its freaking delish. The Luc version on YGDSOAB is pretty bitching too, second favorite version of that song, third being the one with Al singing (oldschool demo version) and 4th being regular studio one.

Oh, cool, I didn’t know that existed. What bootleg is that from?

orbasm, should send that over to bisquitodoom so we can request that as a SOTW. Love to hear Attack Ships On Fire with Connelly on vox.

RevCo - Attack Ships On Fire
Lard - Mate, Spawn & Die
1000 Homo Dj’s - Apathy
PTP - My Favorite Things
Acid Horse - No Name, No Slogan(Luxa / Pan)
Pailhead - Man Should Surrender

So many good songs to choose from. Crackin’ Up would get a nod, Volcanus 2000, Generation Execute would as well.

Im not sure what the boot is called, but its from the 1990 tour if Im not mistaken. I have a couple fullset RevCo bootlegs (the other is from 91 or 92, er something… ill check the info on them shiznits again), if anyone wants to grab em my SoulSeek dealy is: orbasm

Those oldschool RevCo demos are cool too, I need to get the rest of them again, theres like 3 different versions of ASOF, all pretty different sounding, neato stuff. Ill definitely pitch that to bisquitodoom, but I just thought one of youz already had it, so never bothered. Id defintely like to see something RevCo for song of the week, maybe an outtake or a weird remix or odd live song? I got 2 versions of Something Wonderful live, both pretty good quality…

I’m rather fond of the Connelly vocals as well, though that’s the only Revco boot I have. I’m upset that maybe the new Lard won’t happen, but if Jello is indeed involved in the new Revco album I can deal with that. Chalk it up to another “Al-ism”, as in “Oh, we’re gonna tour with so & so,” and it never happens. And no one mentioned the “original” vocal version of “Physical” by Revco. That’s another fave of mine, everyone should hear it.
Oh, and Orbasm - thanks for the heads up about the Deftones cover of Wax and Wane - fucking awesome.

Check Soulseek for Christonabun - I’m usually not in a ‘room’, but if I am, it’ll be Industrial.

Heh yeah original cover of Physical is pretty delish.

“You gotta know that you are bringing out the animal in me”

Yeah the Wax & Wane cover is pretty rad, cant think of any of male vocalist that would be able to do that good aside from maybe Mike Patton. Rad drumming as well.
