Vanilla Fudge: ‘Keep Me Hangin’ On’
I have also just heard Ministry’s cover of ‘What a Wonderful World’ and I have to say that it is probably the worst fucking thing I have ever heard. I mean I knew things were bad but not THAT bad!

believe it or not, I actually like the Cure’s cover of “Foxy Lady” from their debut album. I know Robert Smith isn’t on vocals and the bass player is, and the song isn’t similiar to the original, but that bass is KILLER.
I don’t think that was ever done in a finished studio version (though Closure indicates otherwise), but Trent’s live “Sex Dwarf” cover is absolutely superb (search YouTube for confirmation of this). The original Soft Cell version is arguably the greatest 80’s guilty camp pleasure song ever, so seeing Trent doing it while playing with his hair makes it even more worthwhile.
Another worthwhile but seldom-heard cover is Richard H. Kirk’s cover of Can’s “I Want More”. Notable for being a rare example of Kirk singing as well as a pretty damn good electro funk-pop song as well.
I also love Big Black’s cover of KW’s “The Model”.
