That’s a fair review, Void. Honestly, I couldn’t stand Death Grips, but you’re right. Rap is in. It’s didn’t work out for metal, but it seems to appear in just about every other genre nowadays. Not enough melody to keep me interested, but as long as the kids like it.
Maybe Al should have brought back Test or Cold Life to show his rap side.
They played a Devo cover which was cool and interesting. Would’ve been at home on Cover Up or something but was pretty synthy which was nice…
The DJ ending was confusing and strange, but interesting visually. It was just an odd way to end things. Are we promoting Surgical Meth Machine? Are they going to do songs from that now? I was left confused and bewildered, as were most around us seemingly.
Unless it’s something new, the Devo cover IS from Surgical Meth Machine.

Ahh ok that makes sense. Well I think it should’ve been paired with an original from that project rather than 10 minutes of scratching but at least that kind of clears up the ending for me more.
Death Grips would pull way more of a crowd in UK than Ministry at this point.
In saying that I can’t see Death Grips ever moving a million units of an album like Ministry did in their prime.
