The festival will cater to the gothic subculture with an entire day of music, tattoos, fashion, body art, and extreme exhibitions. The band are also planning to embark on a headlining tour in November/December. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
Uggh what a shitty band…can’t believe they’re fucking headlining anything, and I’m even more shocked they actually got a former Ministry member in their fold.
I mean their music is okay…but they’re so damn uninspired. Everything I heard was basically a cross between Rammstein and Rob Zombie, which isn’t saying much.
The only song that I liked from Hansel und Gretyl on the tour was when Mark and the dude that was manning the merch table got up and helped sing on something in German. It was awesome, the crowd got all crazy…I guess he and the band got along. Since Bill’s gone for good, I wouldn’t mind seeing Rey back. I don’t know if he left on good terms or what, but I thought he did a really good job.
Really; they have to be the worst thing I have ever heard; I first heard of them through some crap Amazon review that described them as a mix between Laibach and some other bollocks… I decided to check them out and downloaded a couple of tracks of the ol’ cyberweb; I was disappointed to say the least. Seem to be marketed to the same retards who lap up anything that comes out of Germany ( Yes I know they’re from New York) because it is “uber” and it is good to “stomp” to. Geh.
I mean an album called “Transmissions from Uranus”… c’mon…
The news I read says:
“…New York industrial band HANZEL UND GRETYL, whose current touring lineup includes MINISTRY drummer Mark Baker and former DRAIN STH bassist Anna Kjellberg,…”
didn’t Rey tour on some dates during last year’s tour? I might be wrong though.
Max was involved in making Houses…I really wonder what happened to him.
As far as I know (think someone on this site mentioned it) Max left because he has a family and wants to spend time with them, ya know the old Paul Barker excuse. I would like to see Max back in the Ministry ranks again or doubling up with Rey as in the fornicatour 2003. But if the family calls, the family calls.
ah, damn. Well much respect for him to doing what he has to do. He was a cool guy. And I agree, doubling up on the 03 tour was great. Max even staged dived right into me [:P]
such is business I suppose. Maybe he and Paul are secretly recording more Pink Anvil together [;)]

He jumped into me at the show I was at aswell, and when he tried to get back up on stage the bouncer thought he was just a member of the audience and tried to stop him so Al had to step in and reassure the bouncer he was a band member (he made hand signals pretending to play a sax when he pointed at Max). If Max was working with Paul that would be awesome, cos it would mean plenty of sax.
Mark should either do a solo album or more collaborationitiness with Paul, they made some of the coolest shite my ears have ever heard. Near Death is a fucking sweet song and his contributions on DSOTS is much adored.
I loved their first two albums. LOVED 'em.
I was really excieted to see them opening for Sister Machine Gun.
And they sucked. Hard. All the elements I loved about the albums were pushed to the background and played from DAT in favor of more guitar.
Then they put out a crappy concept album about space Nazis and I gave up on them entirely.

He didn’t play on Dark Side Of the Spoon, HOWEVER he did play on the tour for that album.
