Amy Winehouse is awesome, Ted Nugent is badass in that he’s a guilty pleasure - covers of both are lame as fuck and I have no desire to hear either.
it appears that the vocals for the retro remix are the re-recorded vox used on the new hard version. so it’s more of a mash up really twixt old and new… basically the new hard version with the guitars ripped out and the old synths put back in. lol, that just struck me as funny, we wait years for him to update some older tunes and do something more old school, and he goes and adds guitars only to rip them out straight away… heh.
oh shit, and that is a cover of amy winehouse [:/]
ok, third and final post…
shit, all the songs are re-recorded, at least in part. with various bits remixed. copyright issues i imagine. NWO sounds… odd… JBMHR has Al on vox. oh well.
It’s all fucking horrible.
Yeah, yeah, everything sucks.
Anyway, Stranglehold could’ve been epic if he’d done it slow and sludgy, Filth Pig style. Ah well.
When did he do the re-records though? The covers are definitely leftovers. But did he do Halloween recently, or then, and just decide to release it now.
“Stranglehold” is based on a Ted Nugent song. (Never heard the originals, but I Googled some lyrics and the allegations seem legit.)
Stranglehold isn’t based on a Ted Nugent song, IT IS a Ted Nugent song dork. And it’s probably gonna suck like the rest of the album.
Although, I’m intrigued to hear Al do Sabbath covers once again. Supernaut was awesome(at least 1000 Homo DJ’s version with Trent) but I just wanna hear how bad he butchers my two least favorite Sabbath songs
