Every Day Is Halloween Demo

As promised, the new song is up. Hope you guys like it as much as I did. I actually kind of like some of the early lyrics better, now that I’ve given it several listens. More to come…

great stuff!

cool.
is it me or is the tempo slightly slower? is this from the tape, or is this how it naturally sounds?

cool…thanks.

‘Everyday is Halloween’ for the less agile!

hm, it sounds a halfstep lower. and it’s more bassy and slower too. probably a tape speed issue? pretty great treat nonetheless!

oh boy, check out those synths in the bridge/break (at 3:46). i wonder why he removed them.

Ok, I sped it up a little. You may want to re-download it. I tried to match the BPMs in the released version. I think it sounds better now. Let me know what you guys think.

Sounds good now. Very cool, its interesting to hear how the lyrics progressed. I dress that way in the middle of May [:)]

much better ( I was thinking the bpms could be adjusted)…thanks again.

Huge difference, thank you!

Cheers Bisquit.

Very cool, thanks man.

The folks at New Wave Outpost would probably love this, too, unless you prefer keeping this kind of stuff ‘in-house’.

Feel free to post links anywhere. I post these to share with all.

and my simpleton mind saw the headline and thought it was some weird nightmare before christmas post…

Man. This is pretty interesting. While the instrumentation on the finished version is much better (turntable scratching FTW), the original lyrics make a hell of a lot more sense.

Demons & spirits > Snakes & lizards

Yeah, I’ve always thought snakes and lizards made it sound like he was either homeless or had a big reptile fetish.

I love all the extra hiss on the every “s” that Al sssssaysssss, it makes the vocals all the more charming.

Awesome. Did Stevo work on this with Al at the time? I gather this 100% Al (drum machine + backing vocals too)

Although I don’t have all the info, I believe this was from the Jourgensen/George/Hallen/Chamberlin/Soroka period. Obviously Al’s vocals, probably quite a bit more from him as well. Unfortunately, no real way to tell how much involvement the other members had.
