I just can’t see this being anything but awful.
One of my favorites…can’t see this working. The movie has such a 80’s feel.

I still have hope for it because John Carpenter is still involved, but expectations are pretty low now that it looks like the rumors of Christian Bale playing Snake are squashed.

Perfect casting idea! His Clint-style act is phenomenal, are you a fan of Justified by any chance? He just embodies that kind of laid-back badass who speaks quietly and dispenses instant justice to anyone who dares to fuck with him. He would be my ideal actor for Snake, but after seeing The Purge: Anarchy, Captain America 2 and Homefront, i would also suggest Frank Grillo. He’s a very convincing tough guy (and a martial arts expert), he’d be ideal if old Raylan isn’t available.

It’s amazing when you think about what an eclectic and odd cast that film had…I mean Isaac Hayes, Ernest Borgnine, Lee Van Cleef, Ox Baker, Harry Dean Stanton, Adrienne Barbeu(I still dream of those luscious cans)…damn,I love that flick…

I almost wish I didn’t have to be the one to say it, but Hollywood should’ve learned its lesson with Escape From L.A… Kurt Russell was totally overdoing it within the first 10 minutes of the movie, and then he puts on the futuristic outfit. I turned it off soon after…
