A few of the old-timers get it. Music isn’t dieing, like the the corporate suits or Stevie Nicks would have you believe, it’s evolving.
Always at least a generation ahead of his time.
I also enjoy his theories about regenerative music and how it will change the way people listen. At one time I had downloaded a trial of Kone which is a regenerative music program that Eno helped to develop over 10 years ago. It was fun to take digital loops and manipulate them and have them react and bounce off of one another…it was a little like making musical soup and the best thing was…it was never the same twice.
God eno is really such a mind far ahead of the current crop it’s almost sad that he’s mostly just well known for doing pop music work with bands like U2
