En Esch

WOW…
I just happened upon En Esch’s “Cheesy” album…
And I must say…
This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever listened to.

I think it’s ok, at best. There’s a lot of weird stuff on there, which is cool. But most of it is just too weird to mix with me, I think. And if I remember right, these tracks were supposed to be kmfdm material but got turned down by wax trax and I can sort of understand why: it’s a difficult listen, and I don’t say that often.

Agreed… but I swear… I’ve listened to it seven times SOLID thus far… GOOD GOD!!!
And the ATROCIOUS cover art just completes the package.
Best tracks:
“Confidence”
“Sweet Venus”
“Soy Botones”
…GODDAMN!!!

I’ll have to check it out again, as it’s been years.

I remember everyone having a laff over this one when it came out, but I think I sorta fancied it. It was different, anyway, which is what I was into at the time.

Still, I bet I dig it more than the new KMFDM.

Apologies, but I just can’t get behind the last, um, seven albums or so. [:P]

I love “Cheesey”. It’s such a weird album. KMFDM pretty much became a bunch of middleschoolers after en esch left.

Rule the Mob is an awesome track, equal is Ich Bin (which, I think pigface slaughtered btw). When Esch and Schulz left kmfdm, they became sorta like…ministry. Only difference is that kmfdm still embraces some of it’s electronic roots, while al seems to have completely ditched it altogether. Prime example for kmfdm is WWIII. I won’t even start on Hau Ruck, which isn’t much different.

Not too sure what to even think when it comes to Slick Idiot. Some good stuff but some of it’s just weak. Esch wlll always have that charisma though.

I’m still in love with “Confidence.”
