Eddie Entropy, the hideous performance art/music project I’m involved in has just released a new 3 song EP titled “Worship the Warship”. It’s very much a hybrid of old school Wax Trax! industrial with hardcore punk vocals done in an intentionally lo-fi style. For this EP it’s mostly me on vocals and musics with additional support from a random goat, a woman’s prison, Pablo Escobar and the BTK killer and art by the mysterious Other.
DOWNLOAD AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!
While you’re there, feel free to check out an older EP “No Tomorrow”. The title track’s got some of my favorite improv vocals that I’ve done. Music on that track is all the mysterious Other.
Thanks for this. It’s great ye guys just give us music every so often. Much appreciated.
Listening to both EPs; I’m favouring the No Tomorrow EP, that has some really cool sounds on it (vox on title track very W.S.Burroughs). The ‘Tunnel’ song is humorous, in a good way. The ‘Worship the Warship’ is decent; the aggressive vox sound good, I might prefer the music more if it had stronger, more prominent beats but that’s just the initial reaction (with hard music I have a snobbery for real or at least pounding drumbeats). The remix would be my highlight from this EP.
Is this project featuring on Dark Side of the Poon? It’s worthy.
This is good stuff green death, I really like the No Tomorrow EP, great atmospherics. The Tunnel is great, I like the dialogue twisted into a humorous foreboding. I got also got a Genesis P-Orridge vibe from the lyrics on the title track.
Eddie Entropy reminds me of a band that would have been listed in the Contact List of Electronic Music back in the '80s.
Thanks for the comments! “Worship” is deliberately lo-fi in production. I’m interested in creating Frontline style industrial music that has production more similar to early punk rock cassette tapes that usual computer music.
Love to hear more comments, come on Prongs friends download and let me know the good and bad!! =)
This stuff rocks! Listening to “Tunnel” now. I like the foreboding atmosphere. synths. And awesome samples.
The percussion is indeed minimalist and old school. Not as punchy, pounding, Industrial or dirty for sure as it could be.
But I think the sparse old school drum machine-ish percussion gives the track room to breath and is nice in an understated way.
I don’t have any real criticism for this track. It did not blow me away or anything but it was refreshing in that there was nothing bad about it and that’s really hard to accomplish in itself if you get what I mean.
Just good atmospheric creepy shit and fun too instead of taking itself too seriously and overly drab and evil.
I loved it. Really great stuff. Listening to it all morning at work. You know how to put all the different elements working together. It’s easy songs get boring in this type of music, but you build things in a very clever way. It’s really well done.
I think tunnel is your stand out track…sorry I don’t know the other names (i just let My space play today) your worst songs are average at best and your best songs are really good!
Unlike void, I’m not embarrassed for you, with your offering.[;)]

This EP has been good to me. I’ve had a dearth of creativity for well over a year but I was spurred back to writing down ideas recently, having this and Aphex Twin’s ‘Come to Daddy’ EP on regular rotation. Another helpful piece has been David Vann’s short novel ‘Legend of a Suicide’, has anyone else read this? It’s one of the best things I’ve read in some time. Still not finished it; despite it’s brevity, it’s really engaging and makes you want to ponder what you’ve read after each page. I’d never look to other writings for ideas but this just hit me up the right way.

Haven’t heard of that short novel. I just started reading through the complete short stories of J.G. Ballard, so that will keep me a while but I’ll track yours down when I’m finished (or need a breather).
I watched this after watcing a documentary on Tiger Woods. It was a suitable sequence. His life is one big black hole. But I actually feel sorry for him as his dad twisted his life to be some special entity, really typical case of parent trying to live through their child.
But back to Eddie. It takes cojones to do improv like that in front of a crowd. If crowd are into it though, serious energy.
