To the best of my knowledge, this has been going on for a few years now. Actually, almost a decade, at least - not necessarily with Ministry, but also with Coil and Skinny Puppy as well. The resources to make a record, but from digital sources (including MP3), and not only do so but to color it or make a picture-disc out of it, is definitely a thing.
Motherfuckers!
I was trying to find a decent copy of “Raise Your Fist and Yell” by Alice Cooper and found another of these shitheads.
It’s funny how obvious they are when you look at their list of stuff for sale and it’s literally nothing but single-sided picture discs.
Fuck them for being sneaky about it. If they just said “custom made art albums” or something, whatever. But they list this shit as “super rare” and even try to mask it further by saying it’s “used” or “pre-owned” to make it seem like it’s from decades ago, when in fact it’s as new as it fucking gets since it was made in homeboy’s basement.
I will give him props, though . . . . . it does look fucking COOL! Not $300 cool. But cool. I’d buy one for $10.
