I saw a funny one once that had cartoon Arnie as the Governator with a giant Hummer and a bazooka or something ridiculous.
(We’ve been asked to send this from East Bay Ray)
Who is “we”?
posting false information about Klaus Flouride, D. H. Peligro and myself.
Anybody know what that info was?
Needless to say, it feels really awful when people spread lies about you.
Surprised they know this since they won a court settlement based on purgery.
So to let folks know what actually happened, here again is what our lead singer did to us.
They appear to labor under the fox delusion that if you say something enough times it becomes truth.
To put it simply, he betrayed Klaus, D. H. and myself, and what Dead Kennedys stand for-- behind our backs he stole song writing credit and skimmed royalties from us, not the other way around.
Not true. All of the writing credit is squared away upon submission to ASCAP. He didn’t skim royalties the back royalties were paid before the lawsuit. They were pissed jello wouldn’t sign off on a levi commercial based on the ethics that they all decided on back in the day. They don’t decide to change their ethics after the job is done and their shitty solo careers have stalled (never even started really)
we still hear those lies being thoughtlessly spread by people who have no first hand knowledge of the situation.
No first hand knowledge is what theses asses are counting on that way they can continue to lie and nobody cares… as if anyone cares anyway. There’s enough evidence on the web and through their own interviews that show they are the liars
The experience was one of the worst things for Klaus, D. H. and I to have to go through. And it was devastating to learn that the ideals that Biafra spoke of meant nothing to him, they’re just there for his image, he only looks out for himself.
Riiiight, which is why he whored out the whole catalogue and didn’t bother to tell them… oh that’s right that’s what the other three did. If jello was so all about himself he would’ve sold those albums years ago.
So now that the band Neurosis finally has the rights back to their record which was on Alternative Tentacles, “Enemy of the Sun,” they can speak out about how Biafra stole from them just like he stole from East Bay Ray, Klaus Flouride and D. H. Peligro.
How come now he’s refering to himself in the third person where as before it was I me and myself? How did jello steal from neurosis? Royalties? Stole their album? If their signed they don’t own that record the label does and you have to buy it back. how about something a little less vague.
don’t be a lemming, think for yourself. Onward.
Thanks for permission losers! Dk is bigger than anyone person? That’s why everyone wants refunds when they find out jello isn’t singing after you’ve promoted your show with his voice.
Those guys piss me off!

I’m not sure what this “promoting the show with his voice” is that you refer to. Do you mean that they played a song during a promo or something?

Yeah radio promos on the X and 96.7 run the commercials promoting the dead kennedys but they fail to say there is a different singer all the while using snippets of the old songs making people think the whole band is touring… they use biafra’s voice as a selling point but then don’t even say with blah blah on vocals.

Okay, Grumps, but a couple times now you rallied about how “DK is bigger than just one person” or some such babble. Obviously you do NOT believe that as your definition of what DK is is JELLO.
And big deal, they used some promos with Jello singing. There’s three other dudes playing in those songs too. When I think of DK Ray’s squeeling guitar (Holiday in Cambodia is a great example here) is just as iconic to me as Jello’s whiny voice.
Does a band have to spell out in big letters or give fast Micro-machines style disclaimers at the end of every commercial saying exactly who’s in the band?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Can we all sue for refunds on any of the stupid Ministry or RamCo releases we bought because all they had was Al and nothing else (or in the case of RamCo, not even Al)?
I always check to see who’s in a lineup before I buy tickets to see some show as that is sometimes something I care about.
And if someone doesn’t know that Jello isn’t singing for the Dead Kennedys they either crawled under a rock with respect to the world of punk music or they probably won’t give a crap anyway.
I saw the show in 2002 or 2001 or whenever it was. I think Brandon Cruz is a total Putz, but he sang the songs just fine and the band was tight.
Why are you so butthurt about something that doesn’t affect you? And why are you so adamant about Jello being the beacon of truth and the other guys being shady liars? Something wasn’t right, obviously. They did win a court case. Why or what for . . . who gives a rat’s ass?
Anyway, have fun humping Jello’s leg some more. I hope it will inspire him to do something again besides a 12 disc compilation on how censorship is bad, war is bad, and Republicans are bad.
And do me a favor and find me some examples of people that actually SAW a show that were upset about being “lied” to. I read a lot of ranting and raving about what a travesty it is that these guys are doing this mockery of everything DK stands for . . . but none of those rants actually ever come from someone that went to a show.
I’ll admit, I would RATHER see Jello singing for the band. But that ain’t gonna happen. They hate each other. So stand in line with the geeks waiting for the “real” MISFITS reunion so you can all cry about the unfair world of corporate greed or whatever it is you’re crying about.
I was just sayin’
Geeze… you can find some upset fans that got thrown out of the club for throwing jello (actual jello) at the band. Google it.
I wouldn’t say jello is the beacon of truth unless were comparing him to the other dudes in the band

I tried to find that video, actually, as I was going to accuse you of being one of them, hahaha!!! The video is still up but the sound was pulled off so it’s pointless.
But using those kids as an “Example” just proves my point. They were some more retarded Jello-worshippers that (this part kills me) bought tickets so that they could go to the show and throw Jell-o at the band.
I think it is hilarious also that the ones that are screaming so loudly about it are almost always kids in their 20’s (maybe they’re in their 30’s now) since they wouldn’t have ever had a chance to see the band with Jello anyway.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAA!!! It’s like people getting pissed off at the Sex Pistols. Yeah, Sid’s dead. The rest of the guys want money. They’re gonna play a show for you. What’s the problem?
Or the “Doors” for that matter. If you’re only a fan of a particular front man that’s one thing, and I respect people’s rights to be gay for the dude, but if someone is a fan of the BAND or the MUSIC then they are typically pretty stoked to get a chance to hear it in the closest-to-the-original form as circumstances will allow.
Neurosis had a couple albums on AT. “Souls at Zero”, “Enemy of the Sun”, and “Pain of Mind”.
Anyone know the status of “Souls”?
“Pain of Mind” was awful (a re-issue, actually), but had one good song I liked (“Black”).
But I liked both “Souls” and “Enemy” quite a bit. I need to repurchase them on CD.
Oh, and check out this screen shot I took many moons ago from an episode of “Home Improvement” . . .
YEAH, BABY!!!
I’m a fan of the front man. those songs aren’t complicated. but nobody sings them like jello.
anybody that can play a guitar or drums can fill in on already written songs, front men are special because not everyone can sing the songs.
Sex Pistols, nobody would miss Sid on bass cause the dude never played the bass he just carried it around the stage and pretended to tune it.

Not nobody. I miss him (no, I’ve never seen them live). I’m a huge fan of Sid, but he certainly wasn’t a “bass player” by any means. He was just a beautiful mess.
Anyway, there’s more to a band then just performing songs. There’s a handful of personalities and talents that (sometimes) come together to form something special.
You can say only Jello can sing those songs (and I will say only Jello can sing them totally perfect) but then again, you’ve never seen them with either of the other jerks (I’ve only seen them with Brandon. Never even heard anything with Jeff Penalty or Skip. It might totally suck ass for all I know.
Anyway, I think we’ve exhausted the topic. It’s time for me to go listen to some Blaze Bayley . . . .
maybe fred schnieder from the B-52s would be a decent fill in…
But, ok. I concede.
