E-cigarettes

Have y’all heard of these devices? Pretty sci-fi and cool in my opinion…

Basically they are a tubular metal device that looks sorta like a cigarette (depending on the model) that vaporizes liquid nicotine and creates a cloud of vapor that makes you feel like you are smoking!

I’ve tried to quit smoking many, many times b4 and have found that even after getting over the nicotine addiction I still miss a) the oral fixation, b) the desire to have a cigg to keep my hands busy, and most importantly c) the act of drawing something into my lungs and exhaling.

Gum, the only stop smoking aid I’ve tried satisfies the oral fixation and the nicotine but leaves your hands lacking and still wanting to have the sensation of breathing smoke in and out.

An e-cigarette satisfies all the smoking addictions by most importantly letting one feel like they are smoking when they are not. Now I’m not sure whether or not e-smoking is totally harmless, but apparently nicotine by itself is free of carcinogens, its only when TOBACCO is burnt, chewed, ingested etc are these carcinogens released.

I’m not trying to be a spokesperson for these devices, but I highly recommend them for others like me who were stupid enough to get addicted to smoking for whatever reason and want a healthier alternative.

In the states, I have ordered from these guys and had great service:

and this guy in San Francisco California has all kinds of reviews and recommendations:

Research before you buy as this is still a new frontier, but lemme tell you your lungs and wallet will thank you for taking up “vaping” instead of smoking…

Pete

I view getting my nic fix like I view music downloads: I prefer the physical copy.

Still, sounds cool… Until Apple sinks their nefarious, trendy claws into smoking and makes it all hip and fashion-forward, introducing the iToke and it’s various wait-six-moths-and-it’s-passe-and-obsolete generations of “improvements.”

Nicotine still is, however, a drug, and should still be treated as such.

I hear you dude, to me [b]nothing[b/] does it for me when it comes to smoking like a freshly opened pack of yellow American Spirit cigs… that being said for the most part now I actually prefer my e-cig to normal smoking… your breath doesn’t stink, you can smoke it indoors and no one can tell the difference, and hypothetically you could puff on it indoors and it doesn’t violate any U.S. clean air laws…

and the most important thing is you can puff away all night w/out yer lungs feeling like shit!

all I’m saying is don’t knock it till you tried it!

i like the idea of a high tech robot cigarette. might check it out. although i cant help imagining feeling crap cos “my cigarette crashed”
