Well, I’ve only ever heard of Culture Club and KMFDM on that there list bucko. Ouch. Talk about a hall of shame. And you don’t have to be Einstein to work out the ‘dumb’ factor of any of those other tribes you’ve just mentioned.

I’d like to add:

Helmet
Anthrax (I’m sure the two have toured together…could be wrong tho’)
Thrill Kill Kult
Atari Teenage Riot

  • Every Band they have toured with since 1999
  • virtually every band they have been on the same bill on at any festival since 1999 (ie Dokken, Iron Maiden, Rear Factory, Marilyn Manson, blah, blah, blah…)

Have they ever toured with NIN? That’d have to take the cake in this poll if they had. The fuckers.

I think so - that’s what I was just about to post.

Oh, and no one can tell me that Culture Club and Ministry on the same bill wouldn’t have made for one hell of a night.

I want to say that they might have toured together during one of the early Lollapaloozas, or were they a year off?

Jesus Lizard
Laika & the Cosmonauts
L7
Motograter
Lollipop Lust Kill
Nothingface

Best opener - KMFDM in 1990

NIN was on Lollapalooza I in 1991, Ministry was Lollapalooza II in 1992. I don’t believe that NIN has ever toured with Ministry, although Trent has joined Revco for some shows to do Supernaut.

Jesus Lizard? Really? I dunno, they were named one of the best live bands of the 90’s by the Chicago Tribune music beat reporter awhile back. Never got to see them live, but it’s hard to believe they were forgettable. hmm.

It’s just me - I’m not really into their music, so their live set didn’t do much for me.

I didn’t know they toured with Jesus Lizard until I watched the Sphinctour DVD. I think before Scarecrow, Al make a comment about “Get that guy some free Jesus Lizard tickets.”

I saw the Young Gods five times live. Ministry only two times… Never together, but it’s not difficult to believe that the dates they did together were very good…

Apart The Young Gods I wish I’d seen Ministry with Godflesh…

What would be great is a Ministry tour (in Europe?) with Red Harvest as opener… Some kind of perfect match…

Just curious: Which album were they touring for when Young Gods opened?

Any suggestions on which Young Gods album is a good first to buy? I’m into a lot of Nuebauten type clanky shit. Anythign like that?

Ministry played with the Young Gods in 96 (dates with Foetus as well). So Sphinctour…

Young Gods albums recommendation:
I would suggest to start with ‘L’ Eau Rouge’ or ‘TV Sky’ (their most known album in the US maybe). ‘Only Heaven’ is quiet good as well.

I have all their albums and a few EPs too, but one of the aforementioned should be a good start.

Thrill Kill was pretty boring.

That and it was scary I was getting aroused by the big girl on stage…

HEH!
