Just saw it last night. Real wicked. Shame it only grossed 1/5 of its budget. Not a good thing.
I also love the fact that there is a female villian…never see that anymore.

It was totally boring and predictable. Seemed like they shot the entire movie in a single room, every scene looked and unfolded the same way.

Yeah man that’s what I thought. Also I saw The Raid a few weeks earlier than Dredd and thought I was watching the same film basically…except The Raid was a bit more entertaining.
Regarding the comparisons with The Raid, apparently the script for Dredd has been knocking about for a couple of years online,
That’s like Tales Of The Gold Monkey & Indiana Jones…everyone said Tales Of The Gold Monkey was a Raiders Of The Lost Ark rip-off…except it was written before Spielberg & Lucas did Raiders.

to be fair, i’m no action film guy. i don’t seek it out. however, i am glad the cliches were not high, the violence was not subdued, and that it wasn’t too out of bounds on being implausible.
