I’ve been trying to get a hold of long out of print music from Swans, Death In June, Townes Van Zandt and others and it just seems like nobody’s seeding stuff anymore. And now that the heady days of 2008 when people would just share rare albums on Blogspot are over, I have no idea how to get this stuff these days. Am I missing something?
I sometimes search for rar files, they’re easy to download but tougher to find.
Torrents are still in, pirate bay went down a while ago but I think they’re back if I’m not mistaken.

You might try soulseek. It’s not torrents but there is lots of stuff to find.
yep I still use soulseek for almost all my music. I can usually even find new stuff on there pretty right away. there are 2 versions for some reason though, so one might me more active than the other.

Thanks - how did you find those? My googling turned up inferior torrents.
I stopped using Soulseek a few years ago. I rarely found what I was looking for there either.
No problem at all sir, you’re very welcome. Try pirateproxy.sx, it’s good for most stuff for the moment, when Pirate Bay went down they restarted it through various proxy sites which do get taken down, but then you just go to proxybay.info and that tells you which ones are still working.
