I’ve signed up but i can’t figur out how to add music to my collection add a wants page… I mean i go to that tab but then it just wants me to search for a want rather than add…

I thought Discogs was a site that you could list all of your cds and possibly sell them as well as trade… I thought it was a big trading site… But i don’t know how to go about listing all of my stuff or posting the stuff i have…

It’s mainly a discography database with a marketplace on the side. I go there a lot for release info.

You can. After you login, go to each album that fits your description (i.e. catalog number) and click “I own this” or “Own” and it will list it.

Same goes for Wants.

how do i submit cds that aren’t listed?? like for example the dark side of live is not listed at discogs how do i submit that cd so i can put that i want it??

A much better site overall.

I am registered under ‘Peligro99’.

Have a look at my collection - do a ‘search’ for an (obscure) artist such as ‘Troum’ and you will see me listed.

I will swear by this site - no bullshitting. Encourage other Prongers to sign up.

Go wayyyyyy to the bottom of the page - click Add Release. Voila. Be sure to try and get scans of the artwork, if possible…peeps love it…as would I as I’ve never heard of it.

As for recordnerd…I signed up there eons ago, it’s okay but it’s not as strictly organized by catalog number as discogs is (or at least the last I checked)…it’s easier on the eyes though and you can add notes about autographs, etc which is a plus though.
