different versions of Tonight We Murder

I was browsing the singles discography of this site, and I realized something interesting…Tonight We Murder is 6:02 long, but the version I have is 3:57, and it sounds like it’s the full song. Do I have an edit? If so, where did it come from (I’ve downloaded that mp3 over 5 years ago back in the Napster days) . I know there’s the demo version, which is not this version (I may have misplaced the demo version, and I don’t remember it’s length)
edit: ok, I found the “rough” version of the track, it’s 5:40…

I know, it’s kinda a stupid question, but it happens to be one of my favorite Ministry tracks, so I’d love to get my hands on that Stigmata vinyl if I don’t have the full track!

I know it’s on the Demon Night soundtrack. Not sure which version though.

hmm.this is probably where the edit comes from…looks like there’s a few auctions up for Stigmata on ebay, so I may end up getting it.

that one is a very good song, not one of my ultra-favourites, but it’s a shame it’s not on land of rape and honey album. it could make a good addition to that lp.

perhaps it’ll be included on LORAH if they decide to remaster the album. we can dream, right?

Only if they split it up on two cds.

does Al own the rights to his WB stuff? If so…hell, he can even give us a Twitch remaster. He surprised me with Early Trax, so who knows, maybe he’ll be interested in a Twitch remaster/rarerities disc

It’s actually at 6 minutes, 2 seconds long. The only edited version of the track was released on the soundtrack to the film TALES FROM THE CRYPT PRESENTS: DEMON KNIGHT.

Al owns the rights to THE LAND OF RAPE AND HONEY, only. He has to get permission to obtain any other tracks to remaster, which is how he released RANTOLOGY.

LORAH the song, or LORAH the album?

The album. It’s been out of print for almost ten years, so therefore Al and Paul have had the rights to reissue it at will. Old tactic which works well for most artists.

hm, in that case, i’m praying for a proper lorah remaster and re-release. for god’s sake, please don’t fuck it up sound-wise (like big sexy land), artwork-wise (though i’m not that fond of original, but still), track-list wise and if you’re gonna put some bonuses, please get them all on second cd.

If LORAH were to be remastered, I for one would welcome a dualdisc 5.1 remaster. LORAH in glorious 5.1 surround would be awesome.

If you were to ask Al lately what his favorite album of his is, he’d state the latest. However, when I did an interview with him a few years ago, he said Land was. He stated, in 2003, that Land was being worked on as far as remastering goes, but then again we’re still waiting on Lard too.

lorah in 5.1? dunno how it will benefit (it’s not that multi-layered so you can do neat shit like cool panning and all that stuff), but will be interesting indeed.
