Or was he just having a bad day on the old geetar:
Hmmm… He sounded good to me… are you sure it’s not just the shitty youtube sound quality?
just a flub (or two)
edit: just watched second solo too… yea mick, i think he just had a bad night. a lot of his sounds he gets are using one of his pick fingers (while holding the pick and using it) he swipes some of the strings causing a sound he’s really know for. it’s a finesse-thing. he just had a bad night.
I thought it was awesome. Nice to see all three on stage in 2011.
Bad night for big G.
He didn’t look too happy at the end either. He’s gone very old looking too, hasn’t he? Waters is older I believe and looks way better.

Never knew of this one. Gilmour kills it but the song doesn’t do anything for me.

Weird. I was first going to say it was probably just a bad sound capture, but he does look to wince a little. I really wonder if he’s having some technical difficulties with his equipment/ set up, because it seems to continue and I would not expect such a solo which he’s done a billion times over to have those troubles.

Wow, never knew anything about any of this. Thanks for sharing. Love Gilmour.
I suspect that the guitar was provided for Dave and not something he regularly played. The 1st solo didn’t sound quite the usual perfection but the second was fine.
That could be possible too. I didn’t watch the whole thing, but I could see where he may not have been adjusted to a new instrument’s specs or individual quirks.
