i watched the entire “debate” which for me was not a debate, but an exercise in restraint. they both did what they were coached to do. palin threw out a lot of facts. biden did as well, only once going into the territory of how the senate works (and i was too tired to write it down). but anyway, all in all i think biden was the more prepared to analyze and respond from a well informed knowledge of history. palin kept going back to her idea of energy policy. non sequiter gets a new pair of eyeglasses on half the responses she made.
i was glad biden countered all her family this family that shit with his own story of being a single dad after his first wife and daughter died. that will win him points with a lot of people who are church-goers.
i think biden was the winner in this, altho palin proved to her party she could stand up and recite the lines.
and i think a lot of people were cringing with palin’s folksy language and the shout out to the third graders. WTF? go back to being a member of the PTA.
