death death death

Man what a week… first I find out a friend of mine died last Friday due to a freak car accident… his funeral was on Saturday. I get back from the funeral and an hour later get a call telling me my Uncle has passed! Fawwwwwkkkk!!!

Jesus man, sorry to hear it!

My condolences.

THis has been happening a lot lately, and it’s seriously pissing me off. Hell, this week my friend’s ma and gramps bit the dust.

Fuck.

All my best, homes.

Fuck, that’s intense. Sorry to hear. I had a similar thing last year, 4 funerals in two months, 3 people of whom I knew very well, 2 I was related to… ironically, one of the relatives was the person I didn’t know all that well.

Sorry to hear anyway

I hope it goes away soon, the shitty feeling that is!
Late,

I am sorry to hear about that, and I certainly know how you feel. My Dad’s birthday is in a couple of days so that one is going to be hard, it’s something that he held out for my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary and died the next morning.

I also lost one of my best friends a couple of years ago to a motorcycle accident. We had been friends for over 30 years, but I didn’t see him that often in later years so when it happened I didn’t find out until the day after the funeral. That really felt bad.

It’ll take time man, but things will get better for you. Just hang in there.

My dear Grandmother, my “Nannie”, is deathly ill right now. She’s been in hospice care for nearly a week. We’re very close.

It’s been really tough around here lately. [:|]

Thanks for the well wishes guys, just venting a little. I suppose if nothing else tragic deaths can serve as a reminder to us the living just how fleeting life truly is, and hopefully we can seize that realization to better our own lives.

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother, Wempathy. Consider it a blessing she’s been with you as long as she has.

All the best folks.

Ain’t it the truth.

Hang in there, man. All my best.

and here i thought this thread was going to be about assimilate :stuck_out_tongue:

sorry to hear about all the bad news.

Don’t worry too much guys they’re all in a better place now.

I guess I’m pretty lucky I’ve never really lost anybody that meant a lot to me. Guess its because I’m relatively young. Makes me wonder how I would handle it though.

I wasn’t consciously trying to reference assimilate but maybe it was on my mind on a subconscious level

Great track, still one of my favorites.

Sorry about your losses mate…

One of my closest friends lost his sister on her birthday about 4 weeks back.

Her boyfriend threw a birthday party for her at his place…anyway they’re a few floors up and the window has quite a big ledge where folk pop out for a smoke. Sadly there’s no barrier so it’s not safe. Anyway they were quite drunk at around 2-3am and she slipped and fell into a basement area and died instantly. Such a stupid and horrible accident that should never have happened…it sucks that something that stupid can take someone away forever. She was 31.

Thankfully my good friend had left the party about half an hour before the accident. He seems to be dealing with it quite well from what I see…

The thing I find strange about death is how much of a shock it is to find out about people you know who pass…you then think about your own mortality for the next few days…then after those few days you kind of slot back into the “that’ll (death) never happen to me” mindset??? Maybe that’s just me?

Obviously when loved ones pass it’s a different story as there’ll always be a massive hole in your heart as a result…we all deal with that in different ways.
