Hey, all. Ran into some absolute weirdness this morning that Prongs might want to be aware of.
I wanted to rewatch Akbar’s Xtranormal videos about the various Prongers because they’re hilarious, and not wanting to wade through my favorites/subs on the YouTube, decided to Google my former username, “Icepick_Messiah.”
I have never, ever, ever heard of this Dark Twin Cities website until now. Apparently, someone has made a dummy account and has apparently nicked a bunch of my old posts from this forum, in addition to one of my old sigs.
It gets weirder. In that same thread, “I” answer “my” own thread with a recommendation for a Pig album!

Needless to say, this fucked me up. This is the most surreal thing I’ve seen in a while. What’s the deal with Dark Twin Cities? I see that our boy Eddie Entropy is/was a member there… Is the community just a bunch of spambots talking to each other, or what?
So not only did someone copy your same user name, they were copying posts you made on Prongs and putting them up on the Dark Twin Cities site? Is that person also engaged in ongoing conversations or just one-time announcement/statement type posts.
It’s all pretty creepy and stalkerish if you ask me.
Ummm, that was me and Revok. We were trolling Dark Twin Cities with Eddie and wanted a normal voice who people would like to occasionally help fan the flames of hate against Eddie. We were really into getting those people to hate Eddie. We didn’t want to make up our own account as they would be able to read “Ed’s” voice through it, so we cut and pasted some of your posts so as to create a “new” Dark Twin Cities personality. That was the sort of strange shit we found funny back then. I don’t think we ever used your name as much as we’d planned. Sorry for spooking you, it was a pretty rude thing to do and I apologize.
We also used a lot of prongs names posting rude comments on our blog too, to try to get others to write mean things. We were riding the humor in hate vibe pretty heavy back then and loved nothing more than hateful comments to be directed towards Eddie Entropy.
I’d almost forgotten about that phase of Eddie’s evolution… Hopefully all y’all can see the insane humor in it all.
As much as there is a logical explanation to this, you’d be surprised that this does indeed happen a lot. Some people truly want to pose as others, in some twisted way its flattering but strange in that because it’s the internet it is all anonymous - so why bother? Kind of shades of Single White Female.
Friend of mine used to make MS Paint drawings of me in some extreme fashion and some guy on a forum took the nickname and ran with it…made his own MS Paint drawings. It’s like, that’s funny but…why?
I’ll remember my integral part in the success of Eddie if he ever drops that crossover single, and I’ll demand a hefty percentage of royalties.

It was strange times, me and Revok would troll the internet, post on Dark Twin Cities and then hit the clubs, maybe recording a little music too.
The internet is an odd place, it turns us all into sociopaths at one time or another…
Strangely, I had someone take the identity of the ka-baalim project I was behind for his suicide girls forum name. He used the name and various imagery. I emailed him because I thought it was cool that anyone cared enough about the project to use the name. He then deleted his account and disappeared. I wonder if he was trying to woo Suicide Girls with the fame and power that the name ka-baalim and our free net releases offered?!
I’ve never assumed anyone else’s name or claimed to be another existing persona, but one time on the PB4PB I decided to see if I could “act” like a well known past member of the Piss Army that had left a sour taste in a few people’s mouths. I tried “writing with a British accent”. ----- I’d write crap like “I think the new RevCo disc is bloody awesome and the tour was just smashing!”
People got all fired up and violent and started accusing me right away. — “We know who you are!!! You’re “****”!” Man, I’d never seen people get so pissy about a supposed overzealous British uber-fan.
In my long and illustrious carreer on the internet I can always count on two things . . .
