Buzzgrinder: I guess it’s just a weird thing, because there aren’t many musicians who people…

Danzig: Follow with cameras? [laughs]

Buzzgrinder: Exactly. There aren’t many people who are Glenn Danzig.

Danzig: Yeah, but you know what… I just play music, you know what I mean? That’s what I want to spend my time talking about. [inaudible, followed by laughing] So you know, let’s talk about the tour, man. We’re coming through Louisville for the first time in a long time.

Unrelated, but I was very happy to play Danzig “Mother” in my Halloween yoga class yesterday.

HAHA!!! Danzig yoga class! That’s awesome. You should teach everyone the “falling like a sack of rice” position.

It’s been erased from the annals of the internet, but about 7 years ago Danzig managed a slow pitch softball team out out of Ohio. They all had jerseys that said “Danzig” on them. And there were pictures of Danzig with his funny mesh shirts posing with his team.

Everything disappeared around the time that the stuff with him getting knocked out by Bluto hit bigtime and I’ve never been able to find anything since.

DUDE!!! I’ve been looking for that for ages. Nice find! It’s too bad the images are all gone, though. There were some hilarious pics with the team in their sporty jerseys and Danzig posing next to them with his shear black-mesh shirt and nipples and such.

Still . . . nice work!!!

HAHAHAHA!!! I was wondering about them too. What are those? New Rocks or something? Looks like some douchey Hot Topic special or something.

It would be better if he had some custom black Vans with Danzig skulls all over them.

I just love how serious he takes himself when he’s out getting kitty litter.

That’s what makes the picture, not the fact that he bought it…I am just surprised he’s not wearing foundation…

Cheers to Peligro for initially exposing this story (I just learned how to use the “search” function). Anyway, it’s like JLW noted. Buying kitty litter is not funny. But Glenn Danzig buying cat litter is friggin’ hilarious because of how serious he is. I love that he (predictably) gets all pissy and defensive when asked about it instead of just acknowledging why we’d think it’s funny.

As I said before . . .

It’s funny because Danzig is a giant douche and here he is being douchey in an everyday situation because every day gives him a chance to be douchey. He’s all Danzigged out with his black clothes and black hair and pasty skin and he has a shirt (probably only because Albertson’s won’t let him in without one) with the Danzig skull.

The skull is symbolic. It says, “Yes, that’s right! I’m Glenn Danzig, Bitch!!! Take my picture! It’ll last longer!”

It’s also funny because all of us are staring at the grocery bag trying to identify what else is in there so that we can make fun of that too.
