Daisy (SMP) Berkowitz joins new band

he’s now playing guitar w/the band kill miss pretty
they did a cover of dogma at a recent show and got clips on the site of their stuff

www.killmisspretty.com

he’s recording a new cd w/them and they’re doing a version of the old spooky kids song “she’s not my girlfriend” which went on to become “1996” (which was also ,manson said in his book, the worst song he ever wrote)
for all you old manson fans that care anyway

at least they put all their albums on their site for free

Really, that was in long road out of hell? Weird that’s one of my fav. from anti-christ superstar (which i listened to a few day’s ago after blowing off for 15 yrs.) i think all should try.I t brought back all the memories of being 16 and pissed cause my parents paid for everything and would’nt let me party every min. of everyday…those were the day’s.

They’re not very good.

Surprising. You’d think if he hated it so much, they wouldn’t have played it live as much. Can already think of a few tours on which they did. And I
gave up on Daisy after the whole jack off jill thing. Meh.

MM never said he hated “1996”. He said “She’s Not My Girlfriend” was the worst song he ever wrote, and my guess is he was referring mostly to the lyrics. He played “1996” on the second leg of the tour before last (when Twiggy rejoined).

yeah remember he said he wrote the lyrics after he kicked the girl out of the stage show who thought she was in the band… him and pogo were gonna kill her but then they chickened out, so he in response, focused all his evergy on the thought that she WAS already dead to him, andshe left town never to be heardfrom again shortly after. (i think anyway… yeah i read that book alot, but not in years)
but as far as the 2 songs go, 1996 is just the riff played faster
and i think he said 1996 was one of his favs cause it was the destroy the stage song

watching twin peaks last night for some reason i really got this connection between the show and early manson (probably wrapped in plastic) I never saw the show when it was on tv… Did theyhave the subtitles for when the midget and lodge people talked always or was that added later?

I think a lot of the samples that were taken from Twin Peaks were in Manson songs, but only the ones from the Black Lodge…which doesn’t surprise me because a lot of groups from the 90’s did this, I think Anthrax even did a video based on that setting
