D.R.I

They’re class.

Up there with the legendary American hardcore bands.

DRI kicks all of the asses. fact.

yeah, one of my co-workers is a big old school skatepunk, so we have been talking about a lot of killer bands i havent listened to in a while, DRI, Jerry’s Kids, so on and so forth… makes the day better.

First Jerry’s Kids LP is great.

What I love about D.R.I is that they managed to cross over to a metal audience while still sounding (to my ears anyway) hardcore. Unlike C.O.C, who went all southern rock on us.

A guy I knew and fucking hated was obsessed with D.R.I. So, naturally I hated them. I don’t hate them anymore but still don’t really care for them.

I was never too into them, but I will say that as they crossed further into the metal sound (i.e. Thrash Zone) I found them to be much more palatable.

A friend of mine has a live album from them, and they’re announced as a metalcore band. It’s sad what that genre evolved into in the 00’s.

They aren’t allowed into Canada. =(
