CU Latour

I don’t see anything from the Mind album on that list.

Oh shit yeah forgot to put Thieves, Burning Inside and So What to get you even more excited! Sorry!!

Jizzim was even a little excited by my fantasy setlist!

Sadly, your bullshit list actually seemed somewhat realistic (and is way better than the real one). I should’ve known something was up when nothing had yet been posted at PA.

1002

Apart from no TMIATTTT my bullshit list would have been AWESOME!!!

This setlist is an outrage!

The real setlist sucks.
Maggittooth should be banned.

I’m not joking.

wow what a joke. that is close to the worst setlist i can even imagine. seriously.

I thought they were playing material from their ‘entire 30 year career’.

And I thought they were playing for two hours…

I should be able to get my money back on the basis of the lies that were told to get me to buy them in the first place.

That’s pathetic.

edit: need to give maggit some credit that was a good one. you had me thinking al had some imagination and respect for his older fans.

edit edit: meshuggah is going to smoke them if that’s the best setlist they can come up with.

guess this proves once and for all that any creativity the band had did indeed leave with paul.

Jizzim would never allow it!

And your just pissed off because not only were you pwned by the mighty MaggiTooth but Ministry also produced a lame setlist!

I didn’t think it was true what MaggitTooth posted when I first read it - Over The Shoulder?? Come on…

I never in my wildest imagination thought that I would ever say this about a Ministry setlist: I don’t know the majority of songs. I know, as a fact, I am speaking for a lot of Ministry fans.

I thought this was to span a 30 year career and they’re just playing three of their classics?? A lot of people who are going, that I know of, were going for the old school, nostalgia reason (“hey, it’s their last tour - why not?”). I would suspect a lot of people will now say they purchased the tickets under false statements. Or perhaps they will mix things up - maybe too early to say.

I also never thought I would walk out of a concert before the headliner came on and that’s what happened when I went to see Sister Machine Gun opening for Prong back in 98-99. Walked out before Prong even walked on stage. Not bad mouthing them - just this guitar trash (I mean thrash) was not appealing to me 10 years ago and isn’t now either. Interestingly, though I didn’t know him at that point in time, Fish was also there and also left before Prong came on.

hmm i guess i wont be going to one of the club gigs then…
ill still be seeing them at a festival but im not paying to see basically the same setlist as 2006 with a few Last Sucker songs thrown in…

I thought this was to span a 30 year career and they’re just playing three of their classics??

That my friend is an OUTRAGE!

It will be interesting to see the next few setlists…last tour the setlist was basically the same the whole way through???

from what i’ve seen they typically have always played pretty much the same setlist, but mix up maybe 2 or 3 different songs as they rehearse them throughout. but it won’t change that much to make it anywhere near worthwhile (at least for me).

it would probably be a whole lot easier to play a ton of different tracks if al could keep bend members for more than 2 albums.

accorinding to blabbermouth:

MESHUGGAH and HEMLOCK were forced to miss the first Canadian show on MINISTRY’s final world tour — C U LaTouR — which made a stop last night (Wednesday, March 26) at the Whiskey nightclub in Calgary, Alberta. According to local promoter Union Events, the two bands — who are believed to be sharing a tour bus — were unable to make the gig due to “immigration challenges.” The rest of the tour is not expected to be affected by this cancellation.

and someone posted:
Ministry took the stage at 11:19 PM, after the (hosed) VIP ticket holders stood around for 3 1/2 hours inside and the regular ticket holders stood around for that long in the cold outside.

That would suck. Big time.

I never in my wildest imagination thought that I would ever say this about a Ministry setlist: I don’t know the majority of songs. I know, as a fact, I am speaking for a lot of Ministry fans.

You sure are.

Wow, I’m dumb founded. I’m not one of to whine about Ministry, I’ve found a few things I liked on the last few albums but holy hell does this set list suck! I’m well happy that I decided not to buy tickets until after I saw the set list. Maybe, just maybe, they’ll throw in an extra surprise or two at Chicago but I doubt it. Hell, they’re not even playing the one song I love off of TLS (“Die in a Car Crash”).

Yech. Truly an embarassing end to a once noble career and a big “fuck you” to old school fans. Go fuck yourself Al Jergensman.

That list is grim to say the least. I don’t dig Skinny Puppy’s last two albums, but cripes at least when they play live they mix up the setlist with plenty of songs through out the years to keep everybody happy. Ministry on the other hand. This is just like a lazy F.U to everybody. Al might as well phone in these concerts cause he obviously doesn’t give a rat’s ass.

i’m under the impression that that isnt the full setlist.

i really cant imagine that they wouldnt play a few of the songs im thinking of…

either way, i like all the songs on there, so im ok, i just REALLY wanted to hear so what, or burning inside.

burning inside would be cool as fuck, cus burton sang ona studio cover of that with static-x once, so he could lend vocals live.

The only thing that would make this show more awesome-er is if Mudvayne opened.

Yeah, I bet he trots out the classics in Chicago. I call it first, the Blackhawks victory song will make it’s live debut there!

i’d imagine chicago going all out, but why half-ass it until then? Pretty lame, and if I don’t see at least some improvement, i’m just going to not bother at all. Why fly all the way up to chicago for something you think isn’t so much of a “sure thing”? But I do hope these shows get better, because so far it’s pretty fucking stale.

granted, when Al and co played those thrash songs 2 years ago, the shows were intense and fun. i wouldnt pay to see two shows last tour though, so there is no reason to see that second show now.
